"Traveling from IL for a family & decided to stay at Days Inn (reasonable price). Bedtime… pulled covers back, sheets had not been changed, pubic hairs & crumbs, dead ROACH in bathroom floor. Notified front desk, no one there to change sheets, but offered to give me another. One hour after leaving & unpacking my vehicle… LORD what do I find in the car… a ROACH. Never again, will I stay there."

"Days Inn Lincolnton NC has gotten worse over the years. I used to stay at this location years ago but had cleanliness issues and started staying elsewhere in Lincolnton. Due to price differences, I decided to try this location again....... Bad mistake!! Found 3 roaches the first night, with a total of 5 I killed during our stay. The workers were very friendly, told us they had just had exterminators there a few days before. Breakfast provided......prior years, oatmeal, cereals, fruit, muffins, and other items to choose from. This stay, they only put out a muffin or 2 at a time, coffee and orange juice. Even had to look through boxes to locate coffee cups. Really bad experience all around!"

"Had to stay here for a wedding in Denver. When we checked in we noticed a thick complaints folder prominently displayed at the front register. (Should have been a warning). When we got to the room it appeared to be ok; at first glance it seemed mostly clean. As we checked the beds we found multiple cigarette burn holes in the comforter. There were only three pillows in the room for two people. When we asked for additional pillows, towels, and a new blanket, there were no additional pillows available and the towels were stained. The extra blanket had at least six cigarette burn holes in it. We found a roach in the bathroom later that evening, the shower had mold/mildew stains around the edges, (and the showerhead was at my eye level), and the toilet was loose and rocked when you sat on it. The rooms are non-smoking, but when people smoked outside the smoke came in through the doors. I understand a cheap hotel having some quirks; but blankets with holes, loose fixtures, and bugs are all fixable with some care. Also, there are some long-term residents here who were leaving trash and belongings outside their room."

"I booked the hotel for its location as my son's school is nearby. I wanted one good night's sleep before getting on the road to drive back to NY. Amenities were not important to me in this case. Even with such low expectations, the experience was still shockingly unpleasant. First, the hotel was under renovation. The lobby was filled with boxes so I was told to stand outside the window while the front desk guy checked me in. It took an exceedingly long time (close to 40 minutes). The property looked all around extremely run-down and dirty. The pool was covered up. What shocked me was the room. It was beyond filthy. There were small insects crawling around on the nightstand. When I lifted up the telephone, a layer of what looked like dead insects was visible. There were small particles (some are parts of insects, some are just pieces of trash) at the room's corners. There are many small holes in the blanket apparently from cigarette burns. The door lock's cover is missing so the mechanism is exposed. The microwave is rusty and filthy. I ended up leaving and going to another hotel. It was extremely unpleasant and such a waste of time and money. Please stay away from this property."
