"They try to assist as much as they can. The rooms need a major upgrade and renovations. The good thing is it was quiet and cheap compared to other places in the area. It was clean."

"If I could give this more than 5 stars, I 100% would. This is my favorite place to stay at. The owners are very friendly! Anytime I travel and I’m at South of the Border I always stay at this motel. It’s right next to the attraction/shops but it’s 1 minute down the road on a quiet street. Rooms are cozy and comfortable. I stay here any opportunity I get. The owners are so welcoming they remember me from past times my daughter and I stayed. My daughter loves them, and they enjoy seeing her and even taking little walks around the building with her! If anyone I know travels to this area I will always recommend! Can’t thank them enough for everything they do!"

"It was dirty, the minute you step into the room it smelled like mildew or mold and cigarettes. The floor was filthy and stained so badly. There was a big roach and a worm just crawling around on the floor!! The door shuts but still had a gap which is probably where all the critters came from. I have stayed in much nicer motels and hotels for less and not felt disgusted to be there."

"The cost of the room was very reasonable, but the room smelled of strong cigarette smoke. The bed spread had cigarette burns. The bath tub was dirty and the additional furniture was badly stained. I am am confused about the previous guest positive comments, the room did not reflect the current ratings."

"Beds smelled clean and fairly comfortable. Parking lot was well lit area was quiet. Staff was friendly. Rooms were dingy with age. Couldn't find a working ice machine. Ease in proximity to 95. I stopped here on my way to Washington D.C. from Florida. Picture were tbe next morning after my stay. I arrived at 1 am too tired for anything but sleep."
