"This is one end of a 4 mile path that ends at Walnut Creek Park in South Carolina. You will find the suspension bridge less than 1 mile into the hike. You will be in SC once you cross this bridge. If you keep following the trail into SC, you will come to a road that crosses back over the creek, and the trail continues on the other side. It goes behind several neighborhoods before you get to the park, which has several areas for children soccer practice. There isn't a lot of elevation change but does have a few small ups and downs to allow area runoff to get to the creek. There were walkers, runners, and bicycles using the trail, but most of the time, it was quiet unless someone's dog was out in their fenced-in back yard as you passed by. My shoes got a little muddy as you couldn't avoid some muddy areas. I enjoyed the first part of the trail the best. Get ready for 4 miles back to your car unless you car pool back. There are bathroom facilities located near both ends of the trail."
"This is a great workout, but a little misleading in the title (unless I haven't figured out the true start/finishing points of the trail). I believe the creek is 12 miles, but the trail is a little over 8 miles. However, I love the natural path with some steep hills, mostly around the creek path up against the surrounding neighborhoods. Plenty of people walking dogs on some of the path as well as bikes. The path can be muddy and should watch out for snakes. I did have a family of deer to jump across the path in front of me a few weeks back, so of course that added to the charm :)"
"Exceeded expectations for a “neighborhood hike” for sure! We will be back. A bit hard to find if you want the suspension bridge. Park at Nesbit. Follow the gravel for bit (past the soccer fields), cross the residential street to the trailhead (dirt, no longer gravel) and you’re good!"
"If you're looking for the bridge--park at Nesbit Park. Follow the path straight which will lead you through Millbridge just a tiny bit, which can be confusing. You might think you're not in the right place once you realize you're in a neighborhood. You are. Just cross the street and look for a dirt path that slopes down into the woods. Keep following the dirt path until you find the bridge. Enjoy!"
"Awesome! We were so amazed with this hike, beautiful scenery, different areas, so many things to look at. It will be our regular hike place now!"
