"All the water fountains were shut off, other than dehydration getting up the stairs it was a great view, loved how everything looked. So bring a water bottle or something because that was tuff."
"I’ve lived in Georgia for many years, but I’ve never been to Hurricane Falls. What a treat it was. The area is pristine and very well maintained by the Department of Natural Resources. The walk down to the bridge is not for the faint of heart. There are 1067 steps just down to the bridge. I wouldn’t recommend doing this unless you are in very good shape and there are even signs cautioning visitors. We made the trek down and it was worth every one of those steps. The climb back up was a little tough, but it was the end of a long day, and we both made it just fine. I’d love to be able to come back here again and go all the way to the bottom of the falls. Next time we’ll make this our first stop in, not our last."
"Wow! Wow! Wow! Gorgeous fall view. The trails were just right. And there was so many people enjoying their walk. The center had beverages and little snacks and restrooms that were clean! It was truly a fun time."
"Beautiful hike, one of the top places near Atlanta! It was a little crowded since it's a labor day on Monday, but it's still nice. The entry fee was 5$ per car, and they accepted the cash at the gate or cars at the visitor center. A hike at a moderate pace with multiple stops for about 5 min took us about 2-2,5 hours. The majority of the trail is shaded, but it's still a good idea to put on sunscreen. Really enjoyed a hike, a must-have visit in GA!"
"If you can make it down the steps to the viewing platform, you definitely should! We walked down and took a break while enjoying the view of the falls. There is some bench seating to have a snack or catch your breath before taking pictures and making the trek back up! The only fee is the $5 parking pass for the state park!"
