"This hike was easy. At the end there is quite a bit of stairs. But the hike otherwise is super easy. Beautiful waterfall. Seems to be fairly popular on the day we went. And no wonder."
"Easy 1.5 mile hike with an amazing waterfall at the end. Highly recommend this hike. Bathrooms were open when we went and there’s a beach area for swimming. Parking with a $3 fee requested."
"Amazing waterfall! One of the best in the area, especially for its accessibility. We would definitely do this hike again. The ride through the Cherokee National Forrest along the Ocoee River was fantastic as was the 7 mile paved road up to the trailhead with several beautiful overlooks. The trail is well marked and maintained, mostly flat and sandy with occasional flat rocks. It felt longer than the 1.5 miles each way, closer to 2 miles each way. Despite several other comments, we had no trouble finding or following the trail, 2 blue rectangle marks, pictured below. Anyone with concerns about descending to the falls should avoid the trail altogether, as the last part of the trail to the falls was gnarly, although my preteen, 2 Boston Terriers, and I had no issues. See our photos below, as I tried to get more shots of the last section of the trail. Again, amazing waterfall and hike!"
"Had such a great time here. The waterfall isn't to bad of a walk from the beach. It also has some great views going up."
"The mile and a half hike in is worth it. The beauty and peacefulness is indescribable. I will admit as most waterfalls it is best viewed after a good rain. The lake at the beginning of the trail is great for picnics. Then on your way out, if you time it just right you will see an amazing sunset off Chilhowee overlook. Yes pack those day trip bags and enjoy some great memories!!"
