Reviews of Jaycee Park
"Great little park with a creek. There are several ducks to feed. Walking trail, and a little war memorial. Not supposed to walk dogs, that's the only drawback. I do see dogs there all the time so it's not heavily enforced"
"Tried taking the kids to a splash pad behind Food City and it was closed so came to Jaycee Park and was very glad I did. They had 2 creeks to play in. Multiple ducks around. Decent bath houses. Rated it 4 stars rather than 5 due to the fact that the play ground was very simple and the pavillions and other areas appeared like they could have used some cleaning up. Overall if in the area I would come back to this park with my kids."
"Having just moved to the area, this is now my neighborhood park. Great little local park with a short paved walking path and war memorial along both sides of a small mountain stream. The playground was being put to good use by several families and it was great to see people out and about on a warm nice day. Showing some signs of age and wear, but well-kept, litter-free and safe (except for the land mines left by inconsiderate dog owners). Unfortunately there is no way to walk there from our house (Lane Road is quite narrow with no shoulder) and there needs to be a way to extend the path north to the basketball courts, but the park does join the sidewalk network of Church Hill so I can use the park as a base to take longer walks through town. Overall, a very attractive and welcome feature of my new neighborhood."
"Beautiful park, not many people, and overall the kids love it. The only downside may be that a few people refuse to clean up after their dogs...so just watch your step while you're here"
"Always great place to relax and great place for kids to play. Walking trail is nice for leisurely stroll. Veterans memorial is a great tribute to our fallen heroes."
