"Beautiful area for hiking. I strongly suggest having both a map and GPS. The area is a network of trails."
"Beautiful area. Schoolhouse Falls is an easy hike for just about anyone. Flat and easy."
"Would have given this a 5 star rating, if the trails had been better marked. Make sure you take a map with you. I ended up getting turned around twice in the Frolictown Falls to Wilderness Falls area. There are signs right by the main trail intersections, however once you are on the Wilderness Falls trail, it is not clearly marked so I ended up doing a loop and walking an extra two miles to find my way back to the main intersection due to getting off on the Deep Gap trail in a totally different direction. I tried a second time and found Wilderness Falls, but it wasn’t that great. My favorite falls were Frolictown Falls, Greenland Creek Falls, and Warden Falls. Warden Falls were hard to find, due to the side trails again not being very well marked and I had to blaze my way down the embankment from the Powerline Road trail to get to it. Nice camping area with shelter on Great Wall trail and some storage lockers for food there and over at the Powerline Road trail intersection. Missed Schoolhouse Falls, due to no signage from Panthertown Valley trail. I could hear it from the trail, but couldn’t find the trail to it. I suppose I could have backtracked to Little Green trail to see if that led to it. Updated 5/27/23: Came back the following weekend and headed to the falls I missed on the first trip. Took Devil’s Elbow Trail all the way up to Elbow Falls and Red Butt Falls, before returning via way of Riding Ford Falls and Jawbone Falls. None were as awesome as Warden Falls from my previous trip. Did find the trail (Little Green from Panthertown Valley Trail) to Schoolhouse Falls this time. Was the most crowded of the falls with about 30 people or more there. As I left the park about noon, the parking lot was jam packed with cars parked all the way out to the road (Memorial Day Weekend). As previously mentioned, once you get off the main trails to venture in the direction of the falls, especially Red Butt and Elbow Falls, just keep to the barely visible trails through and over/under the brush to get to and from the falls. Almost felt like I was bushwhacking, but the trail was slightly visible."
"Beautiful hike. The trail wasnt hard to follow in the sense that it was unmaintained but there were a ton of crossing trails so make sure you download and offline guide and bring a map and compass"
"Great hiking with lots of options. Main trails well marked, some of the side trails you really need to be careful where you are going to stay on them. There are water crossings. Our hike had 3, 1 of which we just waded through at calf level on a cool October morning. Be prepared. The other 2 we were able to hop and balance on rocks and logs but hiking sticks really helped. Great varied scenery and not heavily traveled. We did an approximately 8-mile loop day hike."
