"Very nice place. I would have given it 5 stars but someone had watered down the conditioner in the shower and the treadmill in the fitness room was not fully functional as far as readouts,but still walksble. They have a pretty good complimentary breakfast and the gentleman at the desk was so nice and helpful."

"Used it for business purposes and left with positive thoughts. Welcomed and professional personal. Was surprised with low cost deposit. Good free breakfast. Enough of the safe parking. Clean big room and bathroom. Shower has shampoo and body wash."

"Most importantly, the Staff, Food Service, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Management at the Flat Rock Holiday Inn Express are Courteous, Personable, Knowledgeable and Professional. The entire Team makes Flat Rock Holiday Inn Express a great place to stay. The location gives us wonderful access to all the places we visit when in the area. We will continue staying here whenever we visit because they make us feel like Family."

"Overall impression is disappointed. Just not the quality we’ve come to expect from an IHG hotel with an overall air of neglect and penny pinching. While none of the issues were critical, the sheer number of small problems was significant. We have always had exceptional quality from IHG hotels and make a point of searching for IHG when traveling. I am sorry to find that was not the case, this time. Had to wait 10 minutes to check in as no one at desk. Manager indifferent and not helpful. Didn’t provide direction to elevator until we walked across dining room entry to wrong hall. Room smelled unpleasantly odd. Light bulb out over bed making room dark unless bright bedside lights turned on Pillows and mattress worn and uncomfortable/hard No hand soap or any amenities at bathroom sink. Had to walk into shower to get soap for hand washing after using toilet Paint noticeably scuffed in all areas of room Ice bucket cracked Microwave glass tray installed wrong. Had to spend 5 minutes fixing so could use. Refrigerator not cold and temperature knob missing so unable to use. Keurig not cleaned well with coffee residue visible No dirty linen bag in closet Room cooled well but still felt stuffy, humid Internet connection kept going out during entire stay On a positive note, the breakfast was great!! Clean space, well prepared, fresh food. You could tell the lady responsible took pride in her work. Definitely added to the Do Not Stay Here Again list…."
