"This is a wonderful old motel. Quite retro but with all the modern conveniences travelers expect. I slept soundly and had a hot shower, and I was ready for my day. I highly recommend this beautiful and nostalgic venue. Really one of a kind."

"We really enjoyed staying at The Cardinal Inn 2 nights. The room was clean, comfortable and affordable. We were able to order a yummy breakfast delivered to our room before we started our day of sightseeing in Maggie Valley and Gaithersburg. We sat on the very comfortable rocking chairs outside our room and listened to the birds and viewed the pretty mountainside, true Serenity. We were able to walk to both nights to a Brewery and then a Soortsbar for dinner. Charlotte and Paula, the owners, even put up a "Happy Anniversary sign on our door " to welcome us. The king bed, chairs, microwave, mini fridge, full size trash can, TV trays and many other well thought out amenities in the room were greatly appreciated. Thank you. We will be back."

"This is one of the best lodging experiences I have ever had. The owners and employees maintain this motel very well. The room was so comfortable clean, and quiet. We never heard a sound all night long. We cannot say enough good about the Cardinal Inn. We will definitely be back whenever we come to this area. Just a wonderful experience.
