"Comfy, clean, and cheap. They have free wifi and a jacuzzi tub (but I'm not one brave enough to try out a jacuzzi tub at a hotel). Pet friendly too! Love it."

"What a pleasant surprise for a VERY AFFORDABLE room! The shop took a trip to Maggie Valley for the motorcycle museum, we booked 7 rooms for a night. Very well maintained for the age and very clean rooms. Staff was great. Will be staying there again"

"First of all, let me assure you that Castlewood Inn is not closed! Had a great experience a few weeks ago when we decided on a Friday evening to make a spur-of-the-moment trip to Maggie Valley, NC. Have been staying there for many years, but it had been a while since we had been that direction. Found the phone number and decided to try calling them anyway. So happy to find them still open! Front desk person was new, but very helpful and personable. Had the room I wanted. This is an older place -- one of it's charms. Despite that, I found it to be the CLEANEST room I have EVER had in a motel! Wish I had taken pictures because the care was noticeable immediately upon entering the room. No musty smell from the A/C -- and that is no easy feat in the mountains. Met the owner later, had a good conversation about the challenges they have had with listings and social media. Will definitely be back! Location is great, mini golf next door, Subway across the street. Convenient to both Maggie Valley and Waynesville. May not be a 5-star hotel but earned this 5-star review!"

"Extremely clean and well-maintained rooms. Check-in process was a breeze as was check out. The family who operates the hotel are very pleasant and accommodating even though I showed up early for my check in, there was no question on whether or not I could have the room since it was available. That was a breath of fresh air after having to plead for early check-in in the past while traveling for work. The last thing I wanted to do at the start of my vacation was plead for rest, and I didn't even have to ask. I was given my key and checked right in. I will definitely be staying here next year for Euro Fest and cannot recommend this hotel more. It is very kid friendly and they have a miniature golf and arcade next door"

"My husband and 2 small dogs stayed here this past weekend while attending a sign/car show at the Fairgrounds. The woman at the check in office was super friendly and very personable. The rooms are nice and clean. They are a little dated but that's not a issue. The only reason for the 4 stars was the toilet is super tiny and low. The shower head was also placed very low and not adjustable. Also only had about 5 channel options on the TV (mainly all news channels). Other than those small issues everything was perfect for what we needed and we would definitely stay here again. The pool looked great - we didn't swim - just noticed other people at the pool but it was nice and clean."
