"Enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lit, and drinks were on point. I only gave them 4 stars cause they are a bit pricey. And I don't agree with a forced gratuity at the bar. So we went for brunch and you know before your full party gets there you may get some drinks at the bar. Long story short, it cost me $77 for 3 drinks. They have a 20% gratuity auto added for all orders 1,2,3 people it does not matter. I don't agree with that. Other than that, it was 4 of us, and we did the 80 brunch, which gave you 90-minute unlimited mimosa, sangria, or margarita. I believe it was one more choice, but I can't remember. Anyway, everyone at the table has to have it even if they don't drink, and you're allowed 2 choices only. So figure it out before you go. Cause I don't like mimosa, I don't care for sangria, and one of my friends doesn't really care for margaritas, and one doesn't drink at all...lolol. So it was a little delimma, but we worked it out. It also comes with an entree and one side. I had the deviled eggs. They weren't bad, but they weren't good either. I guess being from the south, we get stuck with the eggs we know, and u like a little relish in mine, and I like a bit of texture to my filling. There's was really smooth with a short of bitter taste. I don't know but wouldn't order them again. The rest of the food was great. Burger cooked perfectly, and everyone said the salmon balls were amazing. All in all, we had a great time. It is a great place to go and chill out, have a meal, and enjoy the atmosphere. Our meal totaled a little over 550, so just be ready. Enjoy"
"Jenny our server was a Peach! She took care of us. Loved the floral arrangements throughout restaurant. The music was noticeably very loud, but they turned it down for us. I was a bit underwhelmed with the food & the fact that NO entrees came with vegetables. And for the PRICES babyyyy I expected some! So we got a Ceasar on side. Be warned oxtails & goat have no bones in them. Our appetizer- mushrooms topped with oxtail was the highlight for me. Oh and owner Sneed is quite welcoming too!"
"Nuvo Kitchen.. came by recommendation for my wife's birthday and was extremely underwhelmed. You've got to pay attention when you pull up as the lighting is scarce. However, the interior is cool, trending, set up for a good time, service was ok-ish. Much of my disdain, however, centers around the pricing and taste, the value is just not there. Although the food was esthetically pleasing, it was HIGHLY under seasoned, resulting in a below average experience. That was a huge disappointment considering the average entree is $30-$45. Given the occassion and size of our party (22) for as much money as we're spending, I would think a slice of cake or a bowl of ice cream should be offered complimentary? They wanted $22, I thought that was tacky. All of the extra fees associated to your party's celebration is also done in poor taste. For me this is a one and done experience."
"Hello, my followers. So today I went to NK to celebrate my birthday. In my party of 5 I was the only one who has been there before. I must say, the food is excellent. I had the branzino with coconut rice, duck egg rolls and a really good rum punch. Everyone at my table marveled about the food, the atmosphere and music. They were planning another trip to here before we even finished our food. However, as much as I absolutely loved the food. I was extremely disappointed about thee service. They do not price their drinks but just put it on the bill. Why can't the customers see the price of what they order? Also, I understand the cutting fee for cake as I frequent many resturants. I was unaware that my cousin got me a birthday cake. She told them we would sing and then just take the cake with us..we don't need to pay 5 dollars a slice of our cake. My grandmother put a special candle on and I lit it. We took a video and blew the candle out. We didn't eat or cut the cake. However, the "Manager" a server who said he was the manager charged us for our candle and my lighting my cake. How you gonna charge for a service and supplies you did not provide. He argued us down over 5 dollars then says I can just take it off. Why just not take the fees off in the first place?? What kind of service is that? He was very sarcastic. I also am disgusted that they do nothing for birthdays. A song, a shot NOTHING!!!!! Then any questions we had he had an attitude. This is sad . We try to support black businesses especially if the food is great. If you are having a birthday DO NOT celebrate here..go somewhere else where they appreciate their customers and don't be sarcastic. We were celebrating and they took that experience from us. Some even came all they way from New Rochelle. Really think about going here to celebrate anything. I am a foodie and I go all round the world to try foods. It is not just about the food but the service and how ypu treat and appreciate your patrons that keep you in business. CELEBRATE SOMEWHERE ELSE.. we were gonna come back for brunch Sunday but now we will all take our money elsewhere."
"Tonight we went to Nuvo Kitchen Restaurant for my birthday weekend! It was honestly such a great night and Iโm so glad my boyfriend found it. The restaurant looks run down from the outside, but once inside it has a gorgeous warm feel and a huge party room. The service was phenomenal! We had both an assistant server and a waiter. Both were extremely helpful and kind. The food is mostly Caribbean options, and definitely a bit pricey. We ended up getting salmon and stuffed lobster, both amazing choices. We also got the pineapple scallops appetizer which was to die for! We also got plenty of drinks. We were in the restaurant for 2+ hours but we never felt rushed. It was a great luxury dinner and very much worth our money. We will definitely be back!"
