"We are so happy to have discovered Trini Bites on Long Island. It was a pleasure from the moment I spoke to Renee ( the owner ) to the time I went to pick up our Christmas dinner she cooked for us ! The food was off the charts good !! . We ordered beef / shrimp wontons , chicken roti and chicken Pelau . It reminded us of the way my mother in law and Granny would cook when they were still with us. I can’t wait to order again and try more of the menu ! Do yourself a favor, if you’re on Long Island (but don’t wanna drive to Queens ) and feel for authentic Trini cuisine order from Trini Bites!!"
"I waited 2 hours for food. they were taking their time in the truck. didn't look like they were rushing at all. There were other people around me that waited for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Why are there sharp bones in the meat? like small ones. I don't get it. Also why are you charging 3 dollars for coconut water in small cup. This food truck messed up orders and took so long. Why was there a person just standing outside taking orders. she could've bene helping with making the food."
"I cannot praise Trini Bites enough! When "shopping" around for a food truck for my daughter's first birthday party, I wanted it to be perfect. Locating Trini Bites was a huge success for myself and our family. We got so much positive feedback from everyone who attended the party. Not only were the portions perfect for our guests, they were able to still keep their Caribbean taste buds fulfilled. Renee (the owner of Trini Bites) also added sauces and pepper to the mix for those who wanted to try different flavors with their food. Our meal included chicken wontons, a double, and a buss up shot (or rice) with chicken curry--Delicious! That was more than enough food for everyone. In addition, the communication between myself and Renee were seamless and clear. She was able to work with me in planning for my vegetarian guests as well. The flow of the party was also organized in the sense that the truck pulled up early, took a spot right out front of the house and started playing some Machel (my favorite soca artist) as guests lined up to receive their food. Additionally, the touch of music definitely added something extra to the uniqueness of having a food truck with delightful food at an event. In addition, our guests felt comfortable with the staff of Trini Bites and ordering their food was efficient and their meals were prepared to their liking. One of the best parts is that after the party, I didn't have to worry about storing food, cleaning up a mess, or risking catered food spoil under a hot July sun. Therefore, if you're looking for flavorful and friendly service, Trini Bites is the right company for you!"
"I was rooting for this place and really wanted to give a good review. It’s hard to get good Trini food in Nassau County. I ordered chicken buss up, it tasted really good BUT the portion size was extremely small bite sized for real. For the $14 I paid I would drive to Queens and get 4 times the size and I’m guaranteed to get real pieces of chicken and plenty buss up. They don’t give you whole pieces of chicken, they mince it and give you that. The doubles was very dry and small, the channah in doubles should have sauce, it was lacking. I was very dissatisfied and will not be returning unfortunately."
"Flavor was average, portions were very small (literally ‘bite size’), price was too expensive. Food arrived cold and missing toppings and sauces. I’m Trinidadian, born and raised so I’m comparing it to homemade and restaurant version of everything I ordered."
