"Smoking allowed inside. Thats why minus one star. About $30-40 pp for dinner if no alcohol. Food is good. Service is good. Seating is comfortable."
"Ambiance (3/5): The restaurant is located in quite literally what felt like a desolate street off of Main Street. The inside was clean and spacious! The tables are comfortably spaced apart. There’s several tables for large party seating available. I loved the huge fish tank stocked with beautiful fish! There was no background music or large volume from the guests and well-lit. Service (4/5): The restaurant was quite only half full on a weeknight. The menus are available via a tablet where you can scroll through the menu items including the pictures that go along with the dishes. Super helpful! Upon ordering with the waiter, the food came out at lightning speed. Food: I’m surprised that this place got a Michelin Bib Gourmand for what we ended up ordering! The taste was off and not worth the price point although the portions were generous. Thousand Layer Pancake (4/5): This was stellar and probably my favorite of the 3 dishes we picked! The pancake was fried to perfection with a lovely crunch but was light on the seasoning/flavor. Sautéed Pickled Beans w Minced Pork (1/5): Not sure what part of the beans were pickled but the whole dish was string beans chopped up into small little bites. There was hardly any minced pork but what little of it was dry but packed with flavors from the seasoning. Definitely spicy. Braised Beef W. Bamboo Shoots (3/5): The broth of the base was flavorful and soy sauce forward. There were generous portions of beef, including tendon that made up a large part of it. The chunks of beef were not entirely tender and some dry, indicating lower quality meats. Tons of garlic cloves!! They were cooked to a soft bite that soaked up all the sauce. I wish that there was more sauce to the dish."
"Our fifth time here! Such an amazing experience as always. The Stir-fried pork kidney, braised frog with duck blood, stir-fried string beans, and Szechuan cake with black sugar are a must-try. Our friend from Szechuan said it’s the best local food she ever had in New York! Highly recommend."
"Good experience, the food was tasty and enjoyable. The food looks spicy and it is, but not spicy to the point it'd burn your face off :) I also liked that it was spacious and so the tables weren't crowded together. A nice casual eat where the food came fast, you ate, and then go on with your day :D"
"We went here for lunch to try their spicy Sauerkraut, fish soup which was very good. Very comparable to Fish for you which remains our favorite by a very slim margin. The other dishes we ordered was a duck blood dish, very good and a preserved meat with cauliflower. Very tasty. We were the only customers except for another couple. They have a lot of other dishes that we would want to go back and try. Highly recommended."
