"I order from here every now and then and usually the food is good. However, tonight was disgusting. I ordered jerk chicken dinner w/rice & peas/cabbage & plantain. What I received was, well actually I don’t even know what this is. There’s rice & peas with potato and sliced tomatoes and bones of chicken with what taste like chicken stew gravy. Worst food I’ve had in all of 2023."

"Bellyful restaurant could be so much better. I wanted to immerse myself in the cultural experience they advertised, but instead I walked away with nothing but the unpalatable fact that I wasted a perfectly good evening in NYC. I met with a group to dine in after 7pm. The waiter quickly asked for drinks and appetizers. My martini was received in a plastic cup with ice. All the drinks received were of poor quality. Disappointing. Appetizers were good. No plates nor utensils. When asked for these the waiter provided plastic utensils and 3 plates. His idea was that we were to share the plates for the 7 at my table!?? Dinner orders were taken at 9:30pm. Everyone in the group of 20 received there food by MIDNIGHT! Food was coming out a couple at a time. Some people finished eating before others even started. At one point a waitress asked my table if she could get us anything else and we all replied “FOOD” for those that were still waiting. Smh…. TERRIBLE! The curry goat was excellent, but the white rice was crunchy (cause it was kept in the warmer too long). Veggies and plantain was good. Due to the lateness, 90% of the group took food home in to-go containers. It was just too late to eat. Overall, service is horrendous and this restaurant can absolutely improve! How are they making money if tables aren’t being turned over. This restaurant wasted my time and their money. I recommend you eating before dining here. Don’t worry…you’ll be hungry again before getting your food."

"Went with friends for a dinner food was great however the service was extremely slow. We were there for 4 hours of which we waited 1.5 hours for the food. Keep in mind there was no more than 10 ppl in the entire restaurant. They brought the appetizers with not small plates or utensils or napkins. We constantly had to ask for utensils."

"Honest review. Food was good and a good size and a fair price compared to the competitors in the area. When I went they were understaffed only one person behind the bar and another to do the tables. It was a little bit of a wait time for the food. It came hot. But drinks and appetizers came pretty quick. Drinks was pretty strong. Also fair price. There is two levels and they were only using the first level which was a little bit small but nothing overwhelming. All in all I had a good time here music wasn’t loud service could’ve been quicker but I understand because of staffing. Food was good drinks was good and the workers were polite. I will definitely go here again. Finally you’ll miss this place because it’s on a commercial street so you wouldn’t notice it"

"I have been here twice and what a wonderful spot to relax, to watch a game, to just enjoy. The staff is friendly, mu food needed more sause but still filling, great tasting and aroma makes you dance when you finally see your food come. The Rum Punch!!!! Try 2 and enjoy. I have been twice and tried 4 appetizers.. don't judge me!!! I will be ubereats ordering codfish fritters!!"
