"Small portions, I know things are expensive, but since you increased the prices; you are also giving smaller portions. Not fair to your customers. The prices also varies by who is cashing, I buy the same things religiously and I pay different prices at times. This is madness. Also, if you want a substitute, they charge. I’m done, no more!"
"So let me start by saying that I prefer to keep the dollars circulating within the community but 2023 is going to be different. I am OVER these caribbean restaurants that give you shoddy service and make no concessions or try to work with anybody. I think that this place has consistently gone down in service over the last 2 to 3 years but still I gave them a chance. I am done with this place. West indian restaurants always behave as if they're doing YOU a favor. Umm I can keep my money in my wallet if these unprofessional practices continue to be the norm . The food quality and consistency has declined. Customer service is lacking to the point where you are more likely to cuss out the employees than order something.. it is THAT bad. I will no longer recommend this establishment as the place to get authentic trini food in Brooklyn. Better you book a flight and get the food fresh and tasty without the headache. Waste of time to go here in 2022 or 2023! Update I decided to give them ONE last chance in Januuary 2024. Hey! Same ole same ole! I bought 2 pieces of macaroni pie and those are the SMALLEST pieces of macaroni pie I've seen in years and they went up in price yet smaller in size they were also not cheesy, it felt like it wad old food from the day before due to the mouthfeel. You know when macaroni pie is fresh out the oven and whether it was reheated. Why were those pieces of pie, each 4 dollars? And I measured them with my finger to show how small they were . 2 pieces fit comfortably in the small foil container when before 1 would fit! Hmm .. papayo The callalloo was ok. Not super flavorful but I was glad it wasn't spicy. It bothers me to have to give up on my local restaurants but I can't reward shoddy service and products. Maybe 2025 things might change? Who knows. . One good thing I can say about them they don't give you cabbage in the roti like the rest of these NYC roti shops... most bizarre thing ever. Who came up with that mess???"
"The callaloo is water down. The macaroni pie is tasteless and small. I tasted only butter no cheese. They give very small portions!!! Tasted gross"
"I have been going there a few years now but yesterday 10/7/23 bought a few doubles and sad to say this very disappointing with it, the doubles was from the day before and I could tell because I have eaten at least a thousand in my lifetime and you can tell it was microwaved, never had this problem before because really liked how they make the doubles. I really like the food there but this time can't say I did, overall very good food. I putting 3 stars this time just because of this incident . Hopefully next time this won't happen again and yes will still go back because food is good"
