"Everything you eat here is delicious! Unique twists on traditional Asian cuisine make each dish special. They also have some plant-based menu :) Run by a Japanese and American couple, their menu has a well-balanced taste that suits both Asians and Americans. This is one of my favorite restaurants, where you can enjoy delicious food that is not too fancy, in a comfortable and stylish space."
"Got the shiitake dumplings, sesame noodles, eggplant all to share and a mocktail custom made. Super yummy. Favorite was the noodles. Highly recommend getting dishes to share so you don’t have to choose just one entree! Really friendly server and bartender."
"What a stand-out experience! Came here on recommendation from a friend yet the food still exceeded expectations. The black sesame French toast was decadent and perfectly paired with the bananas, ice cream and syrup. But the unexpected star of the show was definitely the Japanese omelette. To top it all off, the sweetest chef and restaurant owner who served us like an undercover waiter hahah! Had a lovely convo on he got inspiration for his dishes and how he came to set this place up."
"Third time here in 3 weeks. First time at brunch today and the menu is arguably even better for brunch than it is for dinner. I’ve lived around the corner for years but only recently stumbled upon this neighborhood gem as I never actively have cravings for “pan Asian” food but do now. Their menu is diverse and divine. For brunch we had: - Japanese omelette: super fluffy and soft with pork shavings and seaweed bits over a bed of buttery green onion rice - kimchi waffle with eggs: adventurous savory waffle that stole the show - gochujong fig jam egg sandwich: made on their homemade baked biscuit, this sandwich balanced sweet and savory perfectly - Ube Ricotta Pancake: this was our dessert. They toast sesame seeds and spring on top and then cover with sesame butter and poached pears. Highly recommend - “rolled” Chocolate raspberry scone: not on the menu but at the bar and just as superb as the other dishes. Baked in house. We met the owner Lawrence who was thoughtful about every detail in the food. Brunch was great. Make sure to come for dinner too (highlights for us for dinner were the crispy Maitake mushroom in a delicious broth, Malaysian noodles perfectly spiced, and the cod in coconut sauce with fried vermicelli noodles. All soo good."
"I read the reviews before coming here and REALLY wanted to like it, but I honestly just couldn't. The prices are too high for the portions. And good Lord, $8 for a ginger ale? If I had known they made their ginger ale in-house, I would've opted for a coke. I feel like somebody should have told me that when I ordered. The ambience was great and I know they probably have a really high rent to pay, but if you're going to charge $12 for crab rangoon, why give only 4 small pieces? These things were literally bite-sized. The portions for everything were a lot smaller than I would've liked and even the $4.50 coke came as a can so there weren't any refills. The food itself was pretty decent. I really enjoyed the bite-sized crab rangoon and malaysian noodles. Wasn't a huge fan of the kimchi pork fried rice though, but I think some people might like it. Honestly might have skipped this place if it weren't one of the only places without a line/wait time when I was in the area. It definitely seems like a nice little spot for people who live in the neighborhood and want to hang out for drinks and a bit of food, but I personally wouldn't come back again."
