"This is a great spot for anyone who wants an intimate dinner with friends, family or with your partner. It’s a great environment as you feel a part of everyone’s dinner while also having privacy with your own. Interior and mood are amazing. It’s a cozy experience. My partner and I go here now and then for dinner when we can’t figure out what to eat. Pasta and salad are delicious, always our go to’s. The bread is a must. Drinks and wine are also great. The chicken is good. The trout you can skip if olives aren’t your thing. Overall, please visit this place as it is always a pleasure when we come and eat here. Staff are all friendly and personable."
"Got lunch on a Saturday afternoon & was able to get a walk-in with no problem. Got the eggplant sandwich & my friend got the trout entree. The eggplant sandwich was delicious. Think of a lightly fried eggplant / ratatouille ‘patty.’ I really enjoyed it. The trout was also very tender, not dry at all. The tapenade was also a great touch. Would come back here again, albeit a bit cramped for a party of 2 if it gets busy."
"Great hidden (? what do I know; I'm from out of town) "neighborhood" restaurant and bar. This place is 1,200 times better (approximately) than whatever hotel-you're-staying-in restaurant. I had an awesome arugula salad (I guess the dressing is what made it), the squash, and the duck. The bartender knew what he was doing. Call ahead and get on the wait list; this place is SMALL (and really good)."
"Second visit and another incredible dining experience. Had the amazing crudo (again) and let the chef pick the appetizers (see photo). Porchetta was excellent. The service was great - they are so nice there! Third visit had the delicious trout with an olive compote on top. This doesn’t “sound” good at all but it’s an incredible dish. The trout is farmed so theres a lot of tasty meat on the fish. Shell pasta dish was very good. Service slipped a notch as we were pressured to leave despite no one needing our seats. Very Brooklyny place."
"An ABSOLUTE MUST in NY: Rigatoni alla Bolognese, Quinoa salad with the bread(only at dinner) with the best Olive oil ever. I actually HAD to meet the chef.. chef Hayden you’re amazing!!"
