Capriotti's Sandwich Shop 373 Smithtown Bypass, Hauppauge, NY 11788

"If can give this place no star I would!!! Walked in after pickup a customer car in Smithtown and wanted to try this place for sometime!!! Walk in and hear the cook having a temper tantrum, and cursing and saying it happens every time!! Ask the tall kid what time they close his said 9!! I look at my phone it was only 8:25 so I’m like ok cool then I can order!! I ordered and I was like this guy is like do not know what he is doing and when I paid he walked away with out giving me my cup for soda!! WTH I took it my self!! I was sitting at the last table in the back by the soda machine and I hear the cook keep getting loud and still cursing and saying happens every time is close to closing and he said he should be the assistant manager and get paid extra!!! Is a cook with a tattoo on the back of his right ear on his neck!! And he looked at me and was whispering something to the other looking at me!!I he was making me uncomfortable and I was thinking of canceling my order and leave the other guy that was waiting got his order and it was a big order and then thr cook give me my order to go which I wanted to eat there since it was only 8:45!!! But I guess he would go nuts if I did so I left and I will not eat in my customer car!! So I had to wait and hour till I got home to eat and the french fries was ice gold and just eating one will give u high blood pressure!! The sandwich was hard and I give up and stop eating it!!! Maybe a manager should make sure this guys like to work at nite or even know what they doing lol!!!! So the owner responded and said I was stalking them from my actions of taking pictures lol and if he thought that why would the same man that was cooking and yelling about all the other customers that come in when is almost closing time also come and give me the food him self??? stalking them lol come on owner what u going to do next send some one to whack me!! lol"

"Cool place. Officially best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. Only complaint is that a local place should have their own homemade chips like the hero joint which is not close to me; or at least sell locally made chips ie Northfork. Save the lays for Subway. Will be back."

"I had a coupon good for five dollars off a large sandwich. We get to the restaurant to pick up the sandwich and all of a sudden they tell us it expired at 6 PM. We were there an hour late. I went back and read the coupon and any terms and conditions, and it clearly says nothing about it. Consequently, we won’t be back."

"I ate at Capriotti‘s many times when I lived in Las Vegas for 10 years. I was pleasantly surprised to find that their location here on Long Island has the same high quality standards as I was used to. The Bobbie, American Wagyu beef and sausage and pepper sandwiches were delicious. I will definitely be back and look forward to other locations opening closer to my home."
