Bravo Pizza Five Towns 1270 West Broadway, Hewlett, NY 11557

"Solid menu, ample seating. Stopped in on a whim, and grabbed a pie and fries. Was busy (Saturday night), so there was a bit of a wait. Pizza was nice with a delicious sauce, and the fries were amazing. Perfectly cooked with a crisp outside and fluffy soft inside. I would have loved to give this place 5-stars all around. However: 1. Having a bunch of different people servicing (taking order, receiving payment, collecting the items, etc) makes for a confusing shopping experience. We had to repeat our order to each person and ask for our drinks three times, to three different people and no one said "I'll get it for you." 2. I saw two instances of poor hygiene protocol. One worker was eating and handling food from his mouth. Using the same ungloved/unwashed hands to handle people's orders. Another worker licked his thumb (to make it easier to lift a paper, I presume), and did not wash his hand nor use gloves when handling food immediately afterwards. I would love to come back and see an improvement in these two areas and update the rating."

"This is the best (kosher) pizza in the five towns. The style is thin crust with a great sauce/cheese ratio, compared to other pizza in the area that i find to be excessively doughy and/or cheesey. The one downside is that it's very greasy, like, the napkin dab is a must, hence the missing star. Still excellent. The decor is also a big step up from other places nearby, its much cleaner and doesn't have the cafeteria like vibe that I associate with kosher spots in the area."
