"Second time around bad experience. Went in to buy two outfits as petite sized people, they don’t have small sizes available. They push larger outfits onto you saying they can alter it for you. The outfits were beautiful and the prices were fair, so we went for it despite being weary due to an issue with sizing previously. We received the alterations and everything is still too big despite measurements being taken. We tried them on before leaving, and the staff simply told us things like “you can pin it” and “you can tie it.” The dress we purchased is too tight to even take off without help. Truthfully we did leave even so, feeling a little pressured by their comments and wanting to make it work. The owner refused to allow us to bring the outfits back in for further alterations, saying nothing else can be done. If nothing can be done to properly fix these outfits they want you to buy, or if you know your seamstress doesn’t have the skill, why do you claim everything will be altered properly? We also did not ask for a refund, but an exchange for something that actually works. Which we did do in a previous experience and willingly paid the difference, having this same issue with same store. We do admit the service during the purchasing process is good, and they are very nice. However it is clear now that’s just because they want you to buy an outfit, and as soon as you have issues that helpfulness disappears. If you are a smaller sized person, be cautious. Either don’t be pressured into settling for a much larger size because “there’s just no demand for smaller sizes”, or use your own trusted tailor for alterations."
