"If you’re getting married, DO NOT GO HERE! This place clearly has to overcharge for their clothes because they lack in every other aspect that comes with luxury. They call themselves high end because of their prices but fail to realize the importance of service, quality, timeliness, and plain old customer experience. I’ll go in on this review because both myself and my husband got our wedding outfits here and this place added SO much stress to the already stressful wedding planning process. First of all, do not go here expecting to touch, to try to take a picture or get any type of helpful service. What you get is a con artist who is only interested in taking your money. Once your money is in their hands, it goes downhill. My husband and I picked matching outfits to be customized in March. I wasn’t able to take pictures of what we ordered because it was not allowed. The employee wrote our customizations down and we left hoping they got it right. That was our first mistake, of course they get it wrong. When I went to pickup, my outfit wasn’t the color I ordered. My husband’s wasn’t even available. As soon as I mentioned it, this so called “designer” flips out at me. He starts throwing a tantrum like a child high on cocaine. The other employees were staring at me as if they’re used to this. He says to me “I should make you people sign to the color you pick” and I WISH he did because we wouldn’t be in that situation had he done that. He continues arguing with me and never apologized or offered a solution. He acted as if this outfit couldn’t just be resold to someone else. After sometime of discussing a refund, he offered to rush the color I wanted which he could’ve suggested instead of spazzing out. I left the store crying because I was never treated like that by anyone and what’s worst is that we dropped almost $5000 there and it’s our wedding outfits which should come with happy memories. Fast forward a month before the wedding, I’m calling and emailing for a pickup date, he finally set a date to pickup. He wasn’t at the store when we went to pickup. The incompetent employees who don’t speak or understand English were there and they know nothing! I went and tried on, the details I specified weren’t there but it was the color so I took mine. My husband’s Sherwani came with the shoes and hat but no shawl. How is this possible? The employee had to call him several times because he was too busy to be there then his idea was to provide a random cheap shawl to us. The incompetent employee then offers a pink shawl claiming it was to provide “contrast”. I couldn’t make this up!!! After several calls and FaceTime, he agreed to order a shawl. My husband picked up the shawl a week before the wedding and was unaware that this idiot got him a short shawl. The wedding date was too close and there was nothing we could do. So please do yourself a favor and stay away from this store. Go to Chahat Bridal on Hillside where the owner and the employees aren’t money hungry and are actually helpful!"
"Completely negligent. At first all nice, but downhill from then. Workers just took mental notes what I wanted. Told them to write it but just kept saying I’ll remember…. They didn’t. Forgot my shawl then tried to pawn off a different color with cheap material. Then got my shawl in a kids size. I had no choice but to do my wedding in it. Got my brides dress the wrong color. Guy threw a fit like a child. Never at the store girl has to FaceTime him. Always looked hungover. Totally unprofessional once they closed the deal with the cash in hand. Wouldn’t recommend at all."
"Brought both my and my fiancée wedding outfits from here. It was the most pleasant and wonderful experience, made even better by Tania, who was the most kindest and patient person I have ever met! Truly made me feel relaxed and at home. I will definitely be coming back!! If you go, ask for her, she is a gem!"
"Beware of purchasing anything here. I purchased two (expensive) sarees here, one for myself and one for my mother, for a family wedding. We were initially pleased with the quality and service, but it become clear after the fact that this place is only interested in taking your money. First, they charged more to my credit card than we agreed upon. Second, they didn’t include the petticoats (which they initially told me were included). When I got home and realized, I called them and they told me oh no, the kind you purchased don’t require petticoats, the woman draping you will understand. This turned out to be not true at all and I would’ve had literally nothing to wear if somebody hadn’t had an extra. We also paid extra to have my mother’s saree pleated so it would be easier to get ready. Their tailor did literally nothing. It didn’t have a stitch in it. What a scam."
