Reviews
"First and foremost, the people are extremely nice. So this 3 star review has nothing to do with customer service or anything. This is a review from a seller’s experience. I know they have directives from the supervisors and everything, but they are EXTREMELY picky. I brought a bunch of items, many of which are in near perfect condition, but they won’t take items that don’t meet a certain vibe/trend. It doesn’t matter how nice or even useful (i.e. a north face winter coat) the items are if they don’t meet a style. And they don’t take donations anymore either, so whatever they don’t buy, you’ll have to either take to another thrift store to see if they’ll buy it or take it to goodwill or something. They also gave me $8 cash for a $125+ genuine leather Zara jacket."
"SELLERS - they do not do the normal drop off your clothes and come back later process. You have to wait in line (I waited about 20 minutes on a busy day) and they go through your items in front of you. Kind of awkward, though they do explain why/why not they're taking an item and the pricing to payment system is very transparent. They're looking for unique, name brand items in very good condition. Their selection of items has a wide range of styles and price points. So buying is a good experience (save for the endlessly squeaking hangers)."
"Came here with two bags of new brand name clothes. They had a new buyer at the buy counter alone who didn’t know any brands and kept asking what she should price things at. Maybe don’t have brand new employees buying alone. Took the leftovers to another location. And they took everything. Don’t bother just wait until you can go to another location. Even the pricing on the floor is all over the place. They priced a new H&M sweater of mine at $40 (I wasn’t going to protest them overpricing my item but as a customer I would be confused at that price) but a new with tags G Star sweater at $30 (they put it to the side so I think they wanted it for themselves). The employees seem like they don’t want to be bothered. I was also told they take Christmas sweaters all year round and then when I got there they didn’t take any. They really need to get it together. Edit: Also forgot to mention the buyer didn’t speak to me at all other than asking for my number and ID, and telling she was done going through my items. Not friendly or welcoming at all."
"I’m not typically one to leave reviews (let alone a negative one), but my most recent experience at this location was incredibly disappointing. I’ve sold at this BE many times in the past and always considered the experience positive even if nothing I brought in was purchased. The staff are usually friendly, and thorough while going through the clothing. This past Saturday, my partner and I brought in a decent amount of clothing to sell. I got the feeling that the person checking our clothing was newer, but I can’t be sure. The person didn’t bother to unfold half of the things we brought in and offered no explanation as to why. They pretty much did not say a word to us the entire time and it was just really uncomfortable and not very welcoming at all. Had they taken the extra 2 seconds to unfold and actually LOOK at the clothing, she would have seen that there were a lot of unique pieces that were included that we ended up bringing to Goodwill to donate. Only two items were purchased, a pair of Dansko clogs and some pinstripe Carhartt overalls, both costing about $80 new and were in great condition. I left with $14. Again, it’s not the fact that they only bought two things. I am disappointed that the buyer who “inspected” (using that term loosely) my clothing did not seem to care enough or couldn’t be bothered to take the time to actually look at what I brought in. There were entire (albeit small) piles of clothing that they did not even unfold or look at. This felt like a colossal waste of time and effort, overall just a really poor experience. This location has definitely changed buyers over the last few months and I’m likely going to bring my clothing elsewhere next time I’m looking to sell stuff off."
