"I was on City Island visiting a friend and I found A Taste Of Italy when I went looking for something to eat. All I can say is, WOW!!!! I praise everything about this place, starting with the family who run it. They are exceptionally welcoming and work really hard to make their customers happy. The young man making my sandwich has all the charisma and talent of a rock star, and when what I wanted to order wasn’t actually on the menu, he customized a sandwich for me!!! It was fantastic, absolutely top quality in every way. Luckily I’ve had to visit my friend a bunch of times in the last month (which is great because City Island is like a fairy tale land— more like the Jersey Shore or Cape Cod than the Bronx), and every time I make sure to go get my sandwich at A Taste Of Italy. These wonderful people now treat me like an old friend and even honored me by naming the sandwich the Reid after me!!! I am truly humbled AND cracked up by this kind gesture— but that’s the beauty of going to a family owned business. Why anyone goes to a soulless impersonal corporate business when the experience at a Mom and Pop style one like here, is beyond me. I love A Taste Of Italy, they opened post-Covid, so they are new and still building. I hope the community on City Island realizes what a jewel they are, and they become a trusted landmark, and family to all of the neighborhood."

"Amazing environment very friendly and kind. The food is amazing. Pizza is oh my gosh and the sandwiches is off the hook. They are amazing. They know how to treat their customers. I love it here won’t go nowhere else They always have fresh bread and it’s amazing to see what kind of pizza they have every day never know what they’re gonna come up with You guys are the best"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't get enough of this deli! They have a variety of options, catering to every craving. My favorite is the Al Capone on ciabiatta. The food is always top-notch, with fresh mozzarella made on site and you can tell that they take pride in sourcing the best ingredients. The staff is friendly and efficient, making the ordering process a breeze. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you receive. This place is an absolute must-visit!"

"Can’t go wrong with anything you get there. My go to is the eggplant, arugula, house made mozzarella, and balsamic glaze on ciabatta. Fast and free delivery if you are unable to get to the deli, but I suggest you check it out, because everyone is so kind and treats you like family."
