"When I walked in, the service was top notch. The barista is was very friendly, helpful in making my decisions and welcoming. The interior was cozy, comfortable seats to where you can sit and work on your essay, paper, screenplay, whatever. Food and coffee wise, I had two danishes and one cappuccino. Cheese Danish: tasted cold and stale even after it was warmed up, cheese tasted a little…. different. Strawberry Danish: this tasted much better than the cheese danish but it wasn’t that good, similar reasons to the cheese danish. Cappuccino: this is definitely very far from the best coffee I’ve ever had. It had a bitterness unusual for coffee. I would definitely give them another try for sure."

"I was looking for a coffee shop on my way home from taking care of some errands ,I searched for an Italian coffee place ,so bright white ,lively and as I Walk-in the girl with light brown hair and very sweet , nice welcome.this is what you want to see , when you walk in any place, which don't see much. "One of the best cafes in the city. It's absolutely gorgeous. There's enough space to have a nice sit down and chat with friends. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Coffee and pastries taste great and are fairly priced. Definitely recommend."

"Cute new coffee shop that I’ve been eyeing for weeks as it’s right across the laundromat I use. So glad it opened up so I can go kill time there instead of walking back and forth from my apartment. $5 for a decent sized iced latte (prob around a grande size at starbucks for reference). Latte certainly isn’t the most amazing I’ve had in my lifetime, but it’s not bad for the price and convenience. Space is bright, open, and airy! Lots of outlets too. But wouldn’t say it’s very laptop work friendly. There’s maybe one regular sized table in the corner if you can cop it early."

"Astoria certainly isn’t lacking in choices for coffee shops but it’s still nice to see when new ones pop up. With today’s soft opening, Caffe Torino, joins the list of great coffee spots in the neighborhood. This coffee shop sits on the quiet corner of 42 Street and 34th Avenue; just a few blocks off the subway. They have a nice set up for outdoor seating that wraps around the corner. The décor inside features white marble floors, white shiplap walls, black framed windows, and gold accents. Not a very large space but it certainly feels serene and airy; a great place to sit and enjoy a cuppa. Today was their trial run and only had limited items available. Drinks (hot and cold) and some pre-packaged pastries for today. Gelato will be offered some time next week, after their official grand opening. I decided to get a cappuccino and a sugar waffle. It was perfect for today’s cold weather. I loved that they use Lavazza coffee; one of the top Italian coffee brands. The drink was strong and full of flavor. Smooth and not bitter; it tasted so lovely. I will definitely be back but might wait until they’ve ironed out their menu. The coffee alone is worth the trip back but I am hoping they will also have better offerings of pastries. Tip: wifi password is "plaincow319""
