"I held back for a few months but its time I just say something- I wish they would cook the dough and use fresher more tasty recipe - its been 4 times and their dough is never cooked enough and has no crisp to edge - chicken on pizza was hard and of low quality and had tendons in it making it something I discarded- I want them to try harder - they just need to ask themselves "do we just want to be average? or can we do better" with so many places on long island to choose from I just wish they could stand out with taste - if I were to open a pizzeria I would go to the ends of the earth to find the best and bring it to L'Ucellos- it's not too late - I will be back to see if they finally realize average is not good enough on Long Island. Im hoping they change for the better and keeping quiet won't help them improve... picture lines out the door like they have in Brooklyn pizza places- and bring it to Greenlawn..."
"Got 3 slices and really enjoyed it. Ambiance is not like Swallow, but more of a regular pizza place. Will be coming back and recommending to friends and family"
"While happy that they offer a gluten free crust option, the outdated rice flour crust was a disappointment. There are much better products out there if a pizzeria is going to buy frozen(which Lucchello does). My friend had a slice of the regular flour forest mushroom, which was super soggy(toppings fell off of the slice when he picked it up. The counter help was really friendly and attentive, eclectic collection of art, interesting. Hopefully they will switch to a better gluten free crust-Id love to try some of the specialty pie options."
"I enjoy their chicken and bacon pizza so much that I took a slice to go. I thought their grandma pizza was a bit dry. The pizzeria is extremely clean, an enjoyable place eat, and the service is enthusiastic, efficient, and fast. I look forward to returning."
