""Unless you live in Maryland or DC, there are the best crabcakes you're going to find. Just sayin'..." That was my original review, but I'd like to expand on it a bit. People wait hours in lines to eat at Westchester and Putnam counties' trendy breakfast/lunch spots while being completely unaware of the Sunrise Diner, an unpretentious gem in Somers. Owner Elizabeth and wait-staffer Angie have made a warm, welcoming, and friendly place to enjoy delicious food creatively made and presented by an amazing kitchen staff. The crab cakes benedict and the huevos rancheros are to die for! As are the pancakes, waffles, and everything else on the menu. I share this information with you knowing that it might make it harder for me to get a seat in my favorite local restaurant, but Elizabeth and her staff deserve to benefit from what they've built. Please give it a try, enjoy, and thank me later!"

"There Peruvian shrimp chowder, is the most fresh delicious soup I have had around, a d I seek out soups- this is not to be missed!! Also try the Rubin, they marinade it all day, a d it is to die for This local place is definitely a gem"

"The fresh squeezed orange juice was like a taste from my childhood... That is saying something because I grew up in the south. We were all so excited about all the options on the menu that we had no idea what to order. When we finally decided we were not disappointed in anything and I intend to come back tomorrow to try something else."
