"Holly & Keith are wonderful hosts. We checked in around 3 and had homemade cookies & snacks in the room. The room was very clean & fresh. Keith gave us some history on the house which was interesting. The highlight for me was the breakfast. We had fresh scones & muffins & fresh fruit with coffee early. Then later- around 9 (when we requested) Keith had French Toast, bacon & sausage, and juice & coffee. I didn't have to eat again until supper time. The house is quiet, private , and well decorated & very clean. This location is close to the vineyards & downtown Elkin. Thank you Keith & Holly for a great stay. You made us feel very welcome."

"What a great B&B! Keith and Holly were the perfect hosts! The rooms were gorgeous and the attention to detail throughout the house was superb! Breakfast, all I can say is WOW! Keith is an amazing chef.. Their knowledge of the area was great too! They had all the info on places to see and just made our stay so memorable. "The 628 house is a terrific bed and breakfast! Holly and Keith are wonderful hosts. The room was very nice and the decor throughout the house was inspiring. We had a welcoming tray in our room upon arrival, that was very refreshing. Keith is an excellent chef, and Holly compliments him well. The breakfast menu included the chef’s special and a variety of other items. We really enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend staying there if you are in the area. Bruce & Carolyn May 2023"

"We found the place as they are listed on the wine passport. We came for our anniversary weekend and were not disappointed. When the host tells you to put your feet on the coffee table you know it is a homey place. We enjoyed the little touches like snacks and water/soda. Breakfast was of course wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the room we had, the garden room, was plenty big. We came in February but warmer weather would be great to sit on the porch. Thanks to Keith and Holly for the conversations and suggestions. Highly recommend."
