Three Trails

"This was my second Carolina Experience experience and it didn’t disappoint! Three Trails is in the ideal location - opposite Southern on Main and Wisdom Table which I highly recommend visiting. I stayed in unit 4 which was 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom, with a huge kitchen / living area upstairs. I love the exposed brick look and the spacious feel. Bedrooms were super cozy with extremely comfortable beds, lots of extra pillows and towels. Kitchen is fully stocked. They even have a charging point with many different wires to fit your phone! Everything was spotless. I already can’t wait to come back."

"Overall it was a 5 star experience but there is room for improvement. 1. The doors to the street were NOT locked, and the passcode was not needed to enter the building. Quite a few local youths know this, and go up to the rooftop patio to eat ice cream and hang out. 2. The bed in room #9 is at an odd angle, making it almost impossible to get to the closet. 3. Definitely need some coat hooks in the main room. 4. The curtains in the bedroom are not adequate. One was a light blocking curtain but stopped 6" below the bottom of the window. the other curtain fairly shear so we were bathed in light all night which is not a great situation. 5. Our shower wash was out when we arrived. We called but it took 2 days to get it filled. 6. The kitchen is AWESOME, and the location can't be beat. 7. We would also recommend embracing the history of the building with old photos, etc in the information book... that is part of what we like about staying in historic buildings. 8. The room was immaculately clean so that is a big plus."

"I was delightfully surprised at the beauty of this boutique hotel. The rooms are all dreamy with spectacular 100 plus year exposed brick. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. As a bonus there is a communal rooftop sitting area to relax on. We adore this little gem!"

Its prime location on main street provides easy access to numerous shops and restaurants, making it an attractive choice for travelers. **Cons: However, there are some noticeable areas for improvement. First, the rooms lack certain basic amenities that are typically expected in most hotel rooms, such as tissues and hooks on the wall for towels and clothing. Additionally, our room's location directly beneath the roof patio, while offering a fantastic view, was not adequately soundproofed. This resulted in disturbances throughout the night, with every chair movement and conversation from above being audible. Furthermore, it's worth noting that there is no front desk service, which can be inconvenient for travelers who may require assistance during their stay. Other travelers in our group waited an hour or more for callbacks. **Hidden Fees: One aspect that caught us by surprise was the $45 cleaning fee, which was not disclosed during the booking process. This fee significantly impacts the overall cost and should be made clear to guests at the time of booking. We also communicated that a group discount code when booking, but it was never clear that this was applied to our rate. **Value for Money: Considering the high nightly rate and the additional cleaning fee, the overall value for money is not comparable to other options in the area. While the location is undeniably convenient, the owners need to spend some time making the rooms more amenable to travelers, and the pricing should be more transparent to potential visitors."

"Adorable place. Very roomy in unit #8. We had the rooftop deck all to ourselves, although lots of room for others. We were close to restaurants and just a few minutes from wineries. Very clean and new. The cleaning staff let us check in early which was a bonus! Loved it."
