"Love the waterfalls. Intermediate walk uphill by trail or rock climb. The parking area needs work its rough. Have gone here for years because it's easy to get to if you are in the area. This isn't a federal or state park so there is no handicap ramp or restroom. It's just nature and crashing waterfalls beside the road."

"The falls themselves are real pretty and the mountain laurels were blooming, which was nice. Unfortunately, people are trash pandas and have left broken glass, diapers, graffiti and other assorted garbage. Also. The kiosk was damaged and some pictures were removed. It is just off the road, though, so it is easy to get to. (However, there isn't a sign)"

"Cool stop just minutes from Downtown Independence. The falls are beautiful and always flowing strong. I wish the county would make a little parking lot and add a trash can. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area."

"My kids have good memories coming here with their cousins in the summertime. I slid down the falls once about 15 years ago and that was one too many times for me."

"A locals spot with easy access to the falls from the parking lot. We stopped for hiking, lunch, and a cool dip in the mountain water. This is a lovely little Blue Ridge location unfortunately sullied by an abundance of refuse which is why I gave it the 4 stars. Cmon people please dispose of your trash in the provided receptacle by the entrance, for the love of god and nature."
