"The food is expensive but DELICIOUS. I absolutely love it and the drinks are just as great. The servers are very kind and welcoming which baffled me a bit because I’m not used to such strong but comfortable kindness. I love how they ask questions and offer to help. Also the person welcoming you is absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere was very fancy but warm. If you’re not okay with fancy environments this might not be the place for you."
"I was pleasantly surprised by the MoMA cafe! You order at the counter, take a number, and they bring your food to the table. I got the polenta dish with poached egg, feta cheese, and sautéed vegetables. It came with a side of rosemary bread which was delicious. The polenta was 17 dollars, which really is the market price of lunch in the area. If you are dining alone like I was, they have lovely bar tables right against the window. I would like to return and try more of the menu."
"We had early linch around 11:30 and it was not busy at all but tables were filled quickly. Food was delicious and the service was also great. I had a glass of Prosecco but it was too flat. Maybe they did not well keep it or the bottle opened long time ago."
"Tasty—albeit unexceptional—food and good service, but the portions are absolutely ridiculous for the price, especially after already paying MoMa’s exorbitant 25$ entrance fee. If I’m paying $20 for a simple grilled cheese with tomato soup and $18 for a salad at a counter serve cafe, I expect generous portions. I understand that inflation has caused food prices to rise, but ripping customers off leaves a bad taste in my mouth."
"My pesto pasta was light and had a fresh aftertaste because of the zucchini. I usually like dishes with heavy seasoning, but I refrained from adding any salt because the pesto’s natural light flavor worked so well. I loved the toasted almonds which had it a nice crunch. Although the dish looks small, it was extremely filling."
