"You know how most trails say they're "Strenuous" well this one actually is :D The main trail "Boone Fork Trail" is a 5 mile loop, unless you get distracted by a long shiny bridge like we did and get on it without thinking about which trail you're on and then about a mile out realize that you're now on a different trail and have to turn around then it's about a 7 mile trail :)"
"I really loved the variety of this trail and based on where it starts/ends, I would have never guessed. It starts out kind of low along a sandy creek so there's definitely some muddy/water-logged areas to traverse. It quickly gets rocky and a little treacherous, but it's not consistently up or down. You'll go up some rough boulders and then flatten out and then go down again. Once you get to the waterfall area though, it's spectacular! I had to resist the urge to climb up the waterfall on all of those massive boulders. Much better than just a massive waterfall if you ask me. This sort of draws the experience out with multiple smaller waterfalls. Once you start going back, there are multiple water crossings which can be a little tricky but also quite fun. You end up on top of the mountain in a field at one point and eventually hike through a campground (which looked to still be closed for the season) and back to the parking lot. I have never been this engaged on a hike before. I would highly recommend trekking poles to stabilize some of the many water crossings. Watch those ankles too. Lots of tricky rocks to climb over, but over all very fun!"
"Beautiful trail! Most of the time you hike next to a creek and small waterfalls. Don't miss Hebron falls! There are several water crossings, jumping on rocks, so much fun! Then there is a great picnic area on the creek, so peaceful and enjoyable! It took us a little over 6 miles all in all. We will come back!"
"This trail had so many scenic opportunities to photograph. It’s moderate for some but we brought my 5 year old cousin he did really well! Not sure if id bring him again there was many holes, steep rocks, and ladders to climb. It was very cool we went in the morning around 9:30 and we stopped many times to play in the water. With stopping by the water for him to play and taking many photos it took 4 hours to complete! Will do again. We started by passing the picnic area to the right first I recommend going that way!!"
