Marley Ford Canoe Launch

"Easy place to put in a kayak and paddle to the lake!"

"While I’ve never launched a canoe here, it would be easy to do so. River is level, super dandy and no rocks. There’s even a small dock."

"This is a great, little used launch into shallow waters. The put in csn be muddy and slippery so be careful Go left and paddle upstream to shaded beaches. Go right and flow with the river into the lake. Enjoy a peaceful, motor boat-free float for 30 minutes or so, but remember you have to paddle back against the current."

"The parking area is about 100 yards from the launch area. There is a small dock at the right height for entering a kayak. The lake level was at 1300 feet and it was just enough to paddle upstream with a moderate current."

"This is a great place to have so close to home. I most commonly kayak here. The water is still enough to come alone and paddle back or I float down to the it from further up river. I have also fished and swam here. Not much luck fishing, but I'm no expert. But, there's definitely fish in there. It's pretty secluded and never been too crowded while I was there."
