"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Butterfield in HH on Stone Ridge, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. From the moment I stepped in, the warm ambiance and inviting decor set the stage for a memorable evening. The menu at Butterfield showcases a thoughtful selection of dishes, each a testament to the chef's commitment to quality and innovation. I opted for the pan-seared sea bass, a perfectly executed dish that combined flaky fish with a crisp skin, accompanied by a citrus-infused sauce that added a refreshing zing. The attention to detail in presentation was evident, making each plate a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. The dessert selection was equally impressive, with the chocolate lava cake stealing the show. The decadent molten center oozed out with each indulgent spoonful, leaving me in dessert heaven. Service at Butterfield was impeccable – attentive without being intrusive. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations and ensuring a seamless dining experience. While the prices reflect the high-end nature of the establishment, the quality of the ingredients and the culinary craftsmanship justify the cost. Butterfield at HH on Stone Ridge is a culinary gem, perfect for special occasions or anyone seeking an elevated dining experience. I look forward to my next visit to savor more of Butterfield's culinary creations."
"Completely Dreadful Experience My wife and I had dinner recently at Butterfield with two friends to celebrate our wedding ceremony earlier that day. I made sure to inform the restaurant when I made reservations the special reason for our dinner. This information fell on deaf ears, as no recognition was advanced to our party by any member of the staff, the first of several communication breakdowns that evening. A dish of hard bread was placed on our table - definitely not the "focaccia" we were told it was - and the waiter immediately asked for our drinks order. When we politely asked to see a drinks menu first, he seemed taken aback and withdrew without a word. Not a good start. As far as the appetizers went, the smoked trout rillettes barely contained any roe, and the pilsner battered cauliflower tasted like takeout General Tso's chicken, oily and too sweet. The entrees were mediocre, save for the tagliatelle, which was a large mass of unseasoned noodles. The waiter never showed up to check on our meal, so we were three-quarters of the way finished before I managed to flag down a server from another section and request a salt shaker. Oh, and the cocktails we'd ordered with our entrees? They wouldn't arrive until all four of us were finished with dinner. In short, NYC prices for an amateur hour experience. Avoid Butterfield at all costs."
"Wonderful summer evening dinner at Butterfield— the outdoor dining space is beautiful with cute lights and a nice ambiance. Entrees were well proportioned and filled with local produce and meats. Highly recommend!"
"Just sensational!! Service was perfect, food so delicious and well cooked: lamb was melting in the mouth, the pasta with squash was delicious, the cheese board and butterscotch pudding for dessert was a great finish!! The wine list is interesting and accessible. The dinner too was cosy - very good place - we recommend it 100%"
"This is high-end restaurant with a menu and prices to match. I had the Cavatelli. It was very good, but it was $38. For that kind of money, I expect it to be the best Cavatelli I've ever had with amazing and unique flavors. I can't say that was the case. It was very good but not 'spectacular'. There were appetizers ordered for the table which were good, but again, not out of this world. I had vanilla gelato for dessert which was also good, but I've had better. We also had wine and cocktails. Of course all of this brought the bill up significantly. Everything consumed was a solid 4 star rating. I just can't get to 5 stars. The presentation of the food is wonderful, the staff is very nice, the grounds are beautiful, the restaurant is very nice, and the service is excellent, but this is simply not a place that I'd rush back to spend well over $100/person on."
