"Was told by a gentleman that my phone call would be recorded and they will forward me to a supervisor. Listened to elevator music and then the call drops. Wonderful supervisor!"
"I am curious if there has been any changes to corporate policy regarding self checkout. Relevant context would be that I’m being asked at Sam's’ Club to move my items from my cart to a separate cart at the self check-out. This has never happened before. And I am the only one being asked at my store because I look at the other self checkout nobody else has 2 carts in their area. I have gotten comments such as “You are not allowed to use the self checkout anymore!” And this has been ongoing for my last several visits. Therefore, I am wondering if there’s been a change in policy. I do not appreciate the attitude of the workers at my local Sam’s Club. I am considering canceling my membership due to this happening on several occasions . I have shopped loyally at Sam’s Club for 23 years without any hassles and without any issues. I do not understand why it is currently an issue. Therefore, I am filing this complaint because it appears that only I am being targeted. Nobody else in the self checkout has 2 carts in their bay moving items to another cart and only I get asked to move items from my cart to a second cart. I was told by Eddie and Lori that this is a corporate issue and if this is the case then why don’t I have to move my items from my cart to another cart when I shop at Walmart. I never have a problem at Walmart at the self checkout even when I have $400 worth of goods in my cart. And this is a problem when I’m at Sam’s Club. First, I was told I am buying too much stuff and therefore I have to move them cart to cart. Now I am being told that this is a new corporate policy. I have been told that I am no longer allowed to use the self checkout anymore and they have assumed that I am a criminal just because I buy in bulk. This is the whole point of Sam’s Club - to buy in bulk. I even had a gray hair lady ask the security team if I stole anything from buying at the self checkout. And she didn't have the balls or the genitalia to apologize when she realized that she was wrong. Overall, Sam’s Club has become a disappointment. I recently began shopping at Aldis and when I load up my cart with $400 worth of goods - nobody there is harassing me regarding the self checkout. Therefore, this is an isolated issue, a specialty of Sam’s Club. I have a business account with Sam’s Club. I buy in bulk for my business. Paying $400 for a visit is normal for me. Asking me to move $400 worth of goods every time I shop with you is a problem. Especially since this is not an issue elsewhere."
"Two lovely gray hair ladies at the checkout will harass you if you buy too much at the self-checkout. Sounds like a great business plan! Let me know when your ready to scan my items for me. Or don't bother giving me lip when they're not busy playing on their phones."
"Reasons we won't be renewing our membership: ALL of our Sam's-to-Go Orders have come with either expired, moldy, damaged, or opened products. But, hey, if we go inside to shop, we have the joy of being harassed. Sometimes it's aggressive cell phone salesman asking us to change providers. You know, the ones who don't take a simple "No". And sometimes it's the actual Sam's employees trying to get us to sign up for the credit card. And not just the folks asking you as you approach the register. Two of them actually cornered my wife and I in the meat section to try and hard push the credit card on us. Why would I pay a company for this delightful treatment? A membership to a club, group, or store should be a benefit, not a hassle. If I'm paying money to be there, I should not then be turned into a sales opportunity for others."
"This was my first time at this Sam's and although the amount of cars in the lot was scary, once you were inside it was not crowded at all. This store was clean and well organized. The service desk staff were very helpful. Plenty of carts and hand trucks and enough products to keep you busily browsing if you're there window shopping. The thing to remember is that stores like this are geared for consumer and reseller level goods and foods. If you're looking for real high end then this might not be the place. Caviar, no! Tuna fish, yes! The prices are right as long as you can deal with the larger sizes. If you can't then find a buddy to share the cost and the goods. We were there mostly for household goods like detergents, paper products, cleaning stuff, etc. They blow the supermarket prices away. I would certainly recommend this place to price conscious shoppers or those looking to stock up on things."
