Panera Bread 340 Baychester Avenue, The Bronx, NY 10475

"I like Panera bread and love my unlimited sip club subscription which gives you a free drink every 2hrs for $11.99 per month. That being said food is hit or miss. The Mall at Bay Plaza in the Bronx was insanely busy yesterday. Because of this the tables were dirty, the staff were stressed and the food was not great."

"I ordered about 30 min ahead of when i was going to pick up as i would like to eat in a timely matter for my short lunch break. Of course my food is delayed. It’s been around 10 min and counting from when i was supposed to get. Do not come here for lunch if you’re working. Their service is extremely slow. I thought i’d give them another chance as this was the case last year but i see things are still the same."

"This location was clean. The atmosphere once inside felt friendly, welcoming, and inviting. The staff were smiling and making jokes it seemed like a very good work environment. However this is a place where you need to check your receipt to make sure they don’t charge you for something you did not order. Pros: I got the chocolate croissant. It was amazing and I would definitely come back for another one. The outside was flaky and buttery with a chocolate drizzle, and the inside had so many layers and the chocolate was really gooey and sweet. Cons: There was no prompting by the employee that took my order (which I believe was the manager in a light blue collared shirt) so if this is your first time at a Panera you’re probably not gonna get what you’re expecting if you don’t know the menu and how to order. I ordered a blueberry bagel with cream cheese. I received a sliced cold blueberry bagel with a side container of cream cheese and no utensils. I was expecting a toasted bagel with cream cheese already on it, so that was a letdown. At the very least a knife or something to spread it with. There was no utensils by the napkins or the coffee machine. ALSO, I had to ask for my receipt the manager was going to throw it away. I wish I had looked at it in the store because they charged me for a blueberry muffin instead of a blueberry bagel (that’s $4 vs $2)."

"Pretty great quality in this Panera. The parking outside is small but there are more spaces in and around the mall. It’s not actually attached to the mall itself so it makes navigating it simpler. Service was really good and the quality was surprising. This place has been here for years and I’m happy to see that at least the quality hasn’t gone down. Seating can be hectic if you come at the wrong time, so be aware"
