"Nicole, our waitress, was wonderful. Two of us had the chicken tenders which were plentiful, hot and tasty. Well worth the dollar up-charge to upgrade to sweet potato fries. It also came with a dipping sauce, which I ordered blue cheese, and a cup of honey for the fries. Two other people ordered the burgers and were extremely satisfied. Look forward to going back."
"This is a great village diner. Resides in the heart of the village which creates a nice exterior atmosphere. The inside has been redone, the food is good, and the service is great. If you’d like that small hometown atmosphere, I would definitely recommend it."
"THIS IS THE SPOT! A clean and cozy but also modern establishment HIDDEN in plain sight. I had no idea this place was here and I am saddened to say I wished I had found it sooner. While visiting a friend in Churchville recently we decided it was getting late an we were hungry. We had been to Churchville a hundred times before and never really thought to stop and sample the food. (although Crosby's has a half-way decent slice of pizza if you're in a jam). Our friend suggested a local "haunt" of hers called the Churchville Grill. Now I will be totally honest here, I never thought I would see a restaurant this nice in Churchville. Especially one located in a miniature brick strip mall. From the road it's hard to even see the place. One doesn't notice it until they pull in the parking lot to the Tompkins County Trust (bank). There they are greeted by humble signage in a quaint font, and a lackluster exterior from the preexisting strip mall. But that is the last time you will be un-impressed. Upon entering I was greeted with a warm and soft lighting scheme. a light blue cast gently along with perfectly placed white spot lights. The interior is modern and in darker earth tones which give it a contemporary feel. I honestly forgot I was in Churchville. Not knocking the town, just not what one would expect here. I was very impressed with the décor. On the far right wall when walking in is a small bar but only a few people were gathered there. The tables were clean, the atmosphere was happy and it genuinely felt like a family run atmosphere. I saw a lot of smiles, they didn't seem fake. We had a wonderful waitress who got everything just right and attended the table with a smile and great conversation. My girlfriend ordered the chicken parm sandwich and I regretted not doing the same. The chicken breast and cheese were perfectly pared with just the right amount of sauce. The sandwich wasn't overtoasted and was quite frankly a wonderful chicken parm. I myself ordered the beef on weck with aus jus and was not disappointed. The beef was tender and juicy and the roll soft and enjoyable. the aus jus was great as well. Our friend ordered the chicken fingers which were bought in (meaning frozen in a bag then deep fried, instead of house made fresh on site), but they did choose a good brand ( I am guessing Harvestland for any of you foodies out there.) of chicken finger to buy in so thumbs up for having good taste on frozen foods! (trust me there are places that can't even get that right). If there was a negative it would have been the home made chips. The sad part was ours came out a little darker than we prefer. The flavor would have been better if they were salted first, perhaps a lighter cooking a touch of salt and perhaps some vinegar on the side would make those house chips a winning sensation. We will definitely be coming back! and can't wait for our next romp through Churchville."
