"Stop your search for the best service and prices right now! You ain't gonna find better! These gentlemen here are without question the best! I have dealt with about 6 different tire shops around here and they absolutely destroy the competition! Service, quality products, wait time, efficiency and down right just nice people! I will never use anyone else!"
"I have been a long-time customer who’s purchased numerous sets of wheels and tires over the years without even looking elsewhere; seems like I may have been making a mistake all along. After purchasing a new truck, I called to get a quote for switching rims; I was quoted $136 over the phone. When I arrived for my appointment at the Farragut location, I was told by Bu that switching the tires would cost approximately $180! I advised I was quoted $136 and found the date and time I made the call/received the quote in my phone logs and realized that I called the other store on Kingston Pike. Bu called the store, spoke to a manager and found out they had, in fact, quoted me $136 as they quoted car rims and not truck rims ($7 more/rim for truck rims…18” rim is an 18” rim in my mind but I’m not a tire expert; also confident I told them I had a truck and not a car). I reminded Bu that I was a loyal customer who had purchased a slew of tires and rims over the years and asked if it was possible to simply honor the price I was quoted, $136; I was told it would cost approximately $180. As I had the day off and an appointment, regrettably, I opted to have them do it. For the first time in years, I’m disappointed with Discount Tire as the right thing to do would have been to honor the price I was quoted as a result of their mistake. Seemingly, they’ve lost site of taking care of (formerly) loyal customers/veterans, owning their mistakes, and forget that doing the right thing is how you build loyalty and keep loyal customers. Quite simply, causing a long-time, extremely loyal customer to look elsewhere over $28 doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. UPDATE A manager reached out to me to discuss the situation, apologized and made the situation right with regards to price. I’m chalking the situation up to a junior, inexperienced staff member and am optimistic he won’t make the same mistake, again. I recently purchased a set of tires for another vehicle and had a very good experience."
"Very pleased with the services at this location! The employees are friendly and helpful. Ordered a set of tires and when one came from the manufacturer with a defect this store put on a new loaner until they could get a replacement. Exceptional customer care!!"
"Ripoff Tires, that’s what the store name should be, I bought set of tires from this ripoff company and the salesman recommended a set of tires with 60000 mile manufacturer tread warranty and he also sold me $84 insurance, I went today to do tires rotations and the salesman told me he cannot the rotations due to safety because he said the tires treads worn out, the tires did not reach 20000 miles yet and supposedly it should last 60000 miles, so he tried to sell me new set of tires , my tires still new but I am sure they sold me defective tires, I only drive in the city of Knoxville so there’s no reason to wear out in 1/3 of the life time. Worst tires, Worst salesman and worst tires store I ever dealt with."
"I’m not one to do reviews often but this place tried to screw me over not once but twice so I thought it necessary to share my experience. First time, I came in with a fast leaking tire valve and they brought me back and supposedly fixed all the valves and rotated the tires. Once done, I asked the guy before pulling out of the bay, so all the valves have been replaced now right? And he said yes, everything has been replaced. I left and just drove around the parking lot to make sure the leak was fixed. Sure enough, started leaking fast again. Pulled back up, guy came out and checked and what do you know, valves weren’t replaced at all. Only tires rotated. Two weeks later, I got a nail in my tire and went back up there to get it patched. One of the sales guys came out and looked at my tires and said all your tires are separating on the inside. We can’t touch these tires anymore for safety reasons but I can get you a good deal on a new set and rims for $1,500. I said but these tires aren’t even two years old and I was just in here two weeks ago getting my tires rotated, why did no one say anything then? He said I guess they missed it and the best he could do was put the spare on the one with the nail. Next day, took it to a local auto shop and ended up being my alignment was off but tires were fine. Got the alignment fixed and went to another discount tire and they fixed it with no questions asked. So this discount tire definitely tried to pull one on me TWICE so buyers beware and get second opinions."
