"The chef is a bully! After starting off with a lovely experience and charming server, our evening came to an abrupt end when the chef verbally and publicly screamed at our server for making an honest mistake in grabbing the wrong plate for us. We were 10 ft from the kitchen and heard everything. He berated and humiliated them at the top of his lungs. The man was unhinged. My table mate and I wanted to jump to their rescue but would only escalate the issue. Our server returned with a tear in their eye and pleaded that we did not tell the manager that it would only make him angrier. At hat moment, we had our meal packed up and promptly left. This isn’t a service issue. It’s a HR issue and called the restaurant this morning to speak to the owner. By the reaction of the waitstaff, this seemed like daily and accepted behavior Unbelievable"

"Had dinner here last night. Found this place by chance. Had never even heard of it. We were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere, the food, the staff all outstanding! Highly recommend. We will definitely be back."

"Just a great vibe here. I realize Buffalo has its own longstanding Italian community but, being new to the city, it reminded me a lot of Italian restaurants I grew up around in New Jersey and Boston. That is to say it's a lot like paying to eat at somebody's home. The whole staff is highly welcoming and servers feel more like friends - or friends of friends in my case - and table side interactions are less transactional and more conversational. You feel like you belong right where you're sitting. The food is top notch as well. Eggplant stacked with fresh mozzarella and ripe tomatoes, roasted artichokes and fried squash flowers were stand-out dishes. The flowers were crisp, tender and filled with a truly flavorful ricotta. I could easily survive for a year on nothing but those artichokes. I was lucky to get taken around by a native on my first trip in Buffalo. Siena was the dinner spot that has me looking forward to going back."

"Absolutely the place to be, if your looking for a great dining experience. This small restaurant can get pretty crowded fast, and they do not take reservations. So I strongly suggest coming as early as possible (update-reservations are available now). The decor is beautiful, and elegant. Our server John was really good. He took the time to answer all our questions. He also gave some really good recommendations. He was very professional and very courteous. Siena is well worth the visit, plan to come gain very soon. Antipasti- Loved the meat and cheese choices of this board. Everything on this board, was made of high quality meats and cheeses. You can come here just for the antipasti, and will have a wonderful meal. Just don’t forget to have some wine to complete this meal. Frutti Di Mare- what a amazing entree.. spaghetti noodles, with a wonderful creamy white sauce. That’s pretty good in itself, but there’s also shrimp, scallops, and crab meat also added. Now this takes the entree on awhile new level. Braised short ribs- Looking for a hearty meal? Then this is it. A wonderful piece of braised beef rib, in a Marsala mushroom sauce. The flavor profile of this entree is amazing."
