Reviews of Tandoori Hut
"Everything in this restaurant is excellent. The owner makes her food with love and you can tell. I always order the butter chicken, samosa, and mango lassi. Ordering the chicken pakora every time now too, best starter! Best Indian restaurant in Buffalo, NY by far."
"I've been meaning to try tandoori hut for a while. It's decent. But I think there are better Indian restaurants in the area. They were very nice . But have an optimistic number of booths which makes the experience claustrophobic. After getting the chicken jalfrezi which seems to be very light on the ginger, and heavy on the black pepper and salt. Naan was chewy, and lacking in garlic, especially for garlic naan. I suppose gone are the days of getting a meal like this for under $20. And perhaps their rents are high. But it definitely seems pricey."
"strongly not recommended at all !!!!! dont go on rating please!! worst restaurant to visit !! staff was not at all adjusting enough to customise the order !!! ordered sugar free tea to which she replied preprepared tea is there tht has sugar in it !! please come on !!!! and we ordered chana bhathura that was not at all bhathura and channa was yuck!!! full of oil!!!!!! when complained they said channe aise he bante a!!!! mein thodi bnayi hoon didi bnate a"
"The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered Chicken Makhani, Samosas, Biryani, Naan and later on some tea. Everything was amazing. I read the latest bad review and let me tell you, the service was good. We did not receive any bad items. The person took our order within 5-7 minutes of arrival. Our food came hot and fresh. While I understand that everyone has different experiences, I hope you have the same experience we did. Everything was top notch and authentic. So definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area."
"Run Run Run Run Run Run away from this place. If you want to survive, never experienced such a pathetic restaurant before. Unhygienic, dirty, horrific kitchen. I went to Buffalo to visit Niagara Falls, searched for some good restaurants near us, found this one with good ratings, so decided to check it out. The moment we went inside, talking about the ambience, I cannot rate it below 0. Otherwise I would have done that. Pungent smells all over the place as if we have entered a dirty public restroom. The server got 2 small water bottles for us and she didn't mention the charge for water displayed anywhere. Or else we could have asked for just a normal glass of water. Waited for at least 40 minutes after we placed our order. We received our chapati 10 minutes earlier before the chicken curry arrived. God knows why they do so. Our roti became soggy and cold. We asked them to replace it. They got it microwaved . We were there for 2 hours. There was no manager, just a lady who was the owner. She kept on shouting at the staff for the whole time. She is actually very rude. I really feel for the staff working there. At the time of payment ,their card machine was not working. Our server asked us for our card details to enter manually.. Is she for real? Who will provide their card details?? We paid in cash, and asked to clarify why they had charged us for water. She said we do charge for bottle sorry I forgot to mention. We asked to discuss this with the manager. Again, that lady appeared who was very loud & disrespectful and said- " ye aise Indians aate hai na ye hi aisi harkat karte hai, angrez to paise de dete hai water ke" ( these type of Indians never pay for water but white people do) She said" After COVID, we stopped serving water in glasses."People are concerned about hygiene." What????? Are we kids?? Do we look like fools?? We even got a chance to peek in their kitchen as it was on the way to the restroom. Believe me, it was horrific, horrible. Very unhygienic.. The thing is, we have no problem paying for water , it's just a matter of a couple of dollars, but atleast inform us before. Keep transparency .. Images attached of dirty chairs & etc."
