"Very cute cafe style restaurant. It is cafeteria ordering with table delivery. This was not an issue. I had the risotto with shrimp and scallops, my date had gnocchi with red sauce and a salad. Both were very good."

"I had high hopes since the price was so high. Prices online are not accurate. I got buffalo chicken panini, the caprese salad and cannoli gelato for $35. The food was not great and was overpriced. The only menu that was available to look at was one taped to the counter, with layers of changed prices. Which was gross. The panini was not a panini, the bread was toasted and was a really large portion, but the chicken was bland no seasoning and not enough buffalo chicken flavor, dry and bland. The salad consisted of a few peices of cheese cut in half with roma tomato. The only thing that was flavorful was the salad dressing. The gelato was not great it tasted old. The peices of canoli were so processed it tasted stale and gritty. The restaurant looked tired and old and needed a good clean/organizing. Im glad i didnt waste more money on the fancy looking deserts."

"The food and pastries at Oriens are wonderful. Sandwiches and salads are always very fresh and delicious. There is a particular staff person named Joan who is the happiest, kindest, and most patient waitress I have ever encountered. Today I met a friend of mine for lunch and not only was she friendly and helpful towards us, I listened to her over and over again listen patiently to questions about pastries or food items, very often with elderly customers. It’s just really nice, during a time when most establishments are short-staffed, to encounter someone so positive and pleasant in a restaurant!"

"In Rochester, NY, this is the best Italian bakery I have visited- I wouldn’t say it’s up to par with the best bakeries in New York City (specifically Rudy’s)— however, in Rochester- hands down the best! Their Italian cookies are amazing with an incredible variety. Their cakes and pastries aren’t overly sweet and very well made. I do wish their rum cake had a more pronounced rum flavor… I couldn’t hardly taste any rum. Great little place. If you’ve been disappointed by Leo’s or Savoia (I find both underwhelming—), try Orien’s Cafe."

"So, before COVID this was one of our favorite spots. We visited recently and the quality of the food has grown downhill completely. All the meals we got were definitely microwaved, the sauce was just canned tomato paste with no seasoning, and I'd rather eat frozen gnocchi than the homemade ones. They were lumped together and, when trying to separate them, crumbled apart. The chicken Parm was interesting, the chicken itself was very dry and the breading was soggy. I left so much more hungry than when I went in. Their gelato and pastries might still be good, I have no idea. I wasn't brave enough to try them after the poor experience with meals. Our family will not be coming back again."
