Publix Pharmacy at McKee Farms

"Christy, the pharmacist, has gone above and beyond to assist me in locating a hard to find medication for my nebulizer. Additionally, she went out of her way to help get insurance coverage for that medication. I commend her professionalism and hard work."

"We used to use the Publix Pharmacy in Mint Hill - Amanda, the pharmacist at this location is awesome. However, we have recently tried (multiple times) to use the pharmacy at the Matthews Store (McKee Rd), and they are awful. They either do not have the medicine (and ask the patient to call other Publix's to see which one has it - even though they can see other Publix locations in their computer system), do not have the medication ready at the promised time, etc. They also knew my husband was waiting in the store but failed to reconstitute my daughter's antibiotic until he was standing with our crying daughter at the register. This is very disappointing and frustrating when as a parent you have sick children that need their medications ASAP. I have also noticed that when I am in the store shopping I can hear the pharmacist and technicians gossiping behind the counter about other people and about their jobs- no wonder the prescriptions are never ready on time! I have actually driven to Mint Hill to get our prescriptions several times in order to get our prescriptions in a timely manner with great customer service. But, I cannot continue to do so - so we will be leaving Publix pharmacy and getting our prescriptions elsewhere."

"My husband and his brother always have problems refilling their meds at this pharmacy. I normally do most of the errand runs so I’d usually have to pick it up. They also never have enough of the medication we need in stock so they won’t fill it until they do which is not on the fill date or else they have to split the refill up so it’ll need to be picked up two times in one month. Granted both of their meds are controlled substances but the old blonde lady who may be one of the pharmacist there, is such a rude and mean lady. She’s always giving attitudes and seems like she gives us a hard time intentionally. All of publix staffs are wonderful, all the pharmacy staffs are nice but somehow it’s always that one mean old blonde lady who’s super rude. All it takes is that one person to ruin it all. We will be switching pharmacy next time."
