"This just depends if you get one of the main guides or a “back up”. It was clear they must have over booked and we ended up with a sub, not a captain on the water regularly. We had no live bait, no ice, never changed off the spoons, didn’t change colors or depths or locations. We were just going through the motions. My kids were bummed and aware themselves that this was a waste of time and money but we leveraged the opportunity to show the importance of fishing with folks who love to fish like we do versus those that are just taking people on boat rides for the money.
