Reviews
"Relatively mild hike, well maintained trail, benches, trash receptacles throughout the path. Wooded, water view for approximately half."
"Lovely little spot. Pretty easy hike. All trails said 1.40 miles. Made a cute little friend that was hiding in the hole at the start of the trail! Encountered no humans on a Monday around lunch, nice and peaceful!"
"Very nice short loop hike, some of it along the river banks."
"Nice short trail, path is paved at the beginning but a dirt path after. Might be stroller friendly if you have one with big wheels, but I didn't try a stroller. Path starts along the river then goes into the woods and circles back to the river. No bikes or motorized vehicles. From AllTrails/Meck County site: Enjoy this 1.4-mile loop trail near Charlotte, North Carolina. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 31 min to complete. This trail is great for birding, fishing, and hiking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The name Iswa is a Catawba word meaning "people of the river". Mecklenburg County, particularly along the Catawba River, was historically part of the Catawba nation."
"I'm giving three for now. It's new and I'm guessing it is not complete. Good: It's quiet with lovely waterfront views. The freshly created trail is shaded. Not Good: The location does not have a map posted and the trail is not marked. Most of the trail is in a dense wooded area. Most of the trail is unpaved clay. It will be super muddy after rains. There's no restroom on site. Other: It has a small parking lot. My watch said the trail from the parking entrance is 1.90 miles and three flights. It's a hilly woody trail."
