"I want to gratefully thank Charlotte Pools & Spa for their wonderful assistance is solving my very unique, never seen before problem with my pool. Charlotte Pools & Spa complete our beautiful swimming pool back in 2019. Over last summer, I had noticed a rust discoloration at one of the pool lights, which didn’t make any sense. Then late in the fall, I noticed water running out of a pool light electrical junction box. All of the junction boxes are clearly above the pool water surface … how is this possible? I had my pool service company and a pool electrician look at this situation, but no one could envision why or how water was running out of this junction box. Over the winter, I check the junction box periodically and didn’t see any evidence of water reappearing. However this spring, I once again saw and recorded the water running through the electrical junction box. Charlotte Pools & Spa agreed to come out and take a look. After discussing multiple scenarios with Jimmy, from Charlotte Pools & Spa, we had noticed a small pool of water on the ground a few feet from the junction box. Jimmy and his crew decided to start digging … which allowed us to identify the problem and its source. The irrigation company had left an uncapped water line in the soil about 18” deep directly at the in-ground electrical lights conduits. One of the conduits had experienced a friction hole from the repetitive force of the water from the uncapped line. Once a hole was formed, the pressure of the water from the irrigation system filled the conduit forcing the water all the way into the junction box and out. WOW, that is why water was running uphill! Jimmy stated this was an absolute first for him. Jimmy and his crew fixed the issue, and now, no more water is traveling to my junction box. I so much appreciate the assistance from Charlotte Pools & Spa … everyone else had basically thrown up their hands unknowing where to start. Thank you so much Jimmy!!"
