"We did not stay in the exact cabin that the marker for the location is on Google Maps. This location was booked by some friends of ours so unsure the exact site online, etc. This location is a community of very similar "log cabin" style homes. Many of the available cabins are very similar. The biggest differences seemed to be whether it had a hot tub and allowed pets. There is a big field out back with the river just behind. There is a community pool which is apparently shared considering that as renters we were informed of it as an amenity. The view is absolutely astounding. The river has some decent fishing possibilities as well as kayaking or possibly tubing. My understanding from the friends who had stayed here before indicated there is a good spot to pre park a vehicle and pull out about 2 miles or so from this location. Helen is a curvy mountain ride about 25 minutes away. Brasstown Bald is very close as well, among other places to visit. The cabin itself was great. Our friends indicated that one of the other within this same location they stayed wasn't quite as nice. The location was well decorated, plenty of beds for our needs, lots of couches, an almost undue number of TVs available, and had Wi-Fi. There was a washer and dryer available with soap. The beds were all quite comfortable. The master shower had a bench built in that was super handy for me due to my disability. I didn't go upstairs, but the other areas were perfectly accessible to me. The kitchen is stocked with basic requirements for cooking and serving most things. I would mention a couple of things here. If you are planning to do some specialty item that requires an off standard, large, special type of cookware consider bringing it or buying it in nearby Hiawassee. I also strongly suggest that if you are going to need a sharp knife to bring one. The two kitchen knives available were dull enough to be dangerous and either need to be reground or thrown in the trash. We did some seafood one of the nights and had we not brought a pot there was nothing on site large enough to have used. Of note, and I found this a bit strange. With most rentals they come stocked with some basics and seasoned travelers would know to bring seasonings, condiments, filters...stuff like that. The fridge here was packed out with condiments of unknown age and origin and it was a bit strange. There were also some leftover food items in the fridge and cabinet. Did not know if they were available to use as needed, safe to use? Probably be a good idea to the owner that they consider removing those items. Otherwise, all of the appliances worked and had no particular issue. The hot tub was a nice touch for this location and enjoyed it quite a bit. The pool was still open in early Sept. but our days there it was a bit cold for swimming. My only major concern with the property and of consideration to knock a star off was the camera located above the hot tub. This was not disclosed and honestly is a bit creepy. We threw a towel over it. There was another camera on the front porch which was visible. Since these weren't mentioned, it is of consideration that there could be more hidden here and there. GA is a one-party consent state so far as video and audio recording, but at least for the video part should be posted with signage due to its commercial use as a rental. It is also of note that there were Alexa speakers around the cabin. If this is of concern to you it is worth going around and hitting the mute or simply unplugging them. TL;DR: The location is really nice, well placed for outdoor activities, other local attractions, and priced competitively. Turn off was the undisclosed cameras."
"Not up to par with the other cabins here but was a nice stay. We come to enjoy the river that is directly behind the cabins. The kids love playing and tubing down the river. The host was very helpful when we ran into trouble with the washing machine so we very grateful for how quickly he got back to us."
"My family and I recently stayed in this cabin for four days and loved every minute of it. I had family in from Texas due to college graduation, and this came out to be cheaper, bigger and more inviting than any local hotel. It is right on the river and you have access to fire pits, picnic areas etc. It does sit relatively close to the other cabins, but neither was being used that weekend. There is also a family pool which we used every day. It was very clean and just a short walk from the cabin. The cabin itself was very nice and big enough for a family of 6 to sleep comfortably. There is a washer and dryer available for you to use, as well as all pots and pans needed to cook a meal. Upon entering the cabin there were step by step instructions for checking in and checking out. Also included was a three ring binder with neat dividers for restaurants, activities, and shopping in the local area. . The management was excellent and willing to answer all needed questions. The only thing that we disliked about the cabin was the parking. Two cabins have a conjoined driveway and really only allows 2 cars per house. Other than that everything was great! We will definitely be using this cabin for future stays! Highly recommended."
"Love the North Georgia Mountains, however I would not recommend these cabins. Dog feces littered the ground, Hot tub was not working properly. If you are looking for a quiet, remote, secluded area of relaxation, this is not the place for you."
"Nice quiet spot, we were here with friends in the off season. The photos don't show how close the cabins are together. Maybe twenty feet apart. It ruins some privacy. The neighbors kept to themselves though. The pool is community use. The creek does have nice sized rainbow trout in it surprisingly."
