"I am compelled to write this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by Lila Washington, the family law attorney I sought help from during a custody battle. Despite being sued for custody after filing for child support, I believed Ms. Washington's expertise would ensure a fair resolution. However, my experience has proven to be a continuous problem! The permanent custody agreement drafted by Ms. Washington and an opposing attorney was poorly written, to say the least. It lacked clarity and detail, rendering it almost worthless. Moreover, she neglected crucial aspects of the case, such as establishing child support and other basic necessities outlined in a child custody order. Even something as fundamental as special provisions for a primary caregiver was left entirely up to me. It was her responsibility, as my legal counsel, to inform me of my rights and ensure that I had the means to properly care for the child I am now fully responsible for. When I confronted Ms. Washington about these glaring omissions, her response was dismissive. This lack of accountability and refusal to acknowledge her shortcomings is deeply concerning. To make matters worse, this drawn-out legal battle has cost me 3 years of continued court hearings with no financial responsibility from the father. For an order that I continue to discover was poorly drafted and filed. It is abundantly clear to me that Ms. Washington took advantage of my situation, which is both disheartening and morally wrong. As a result of her inadequate representation, I find myself having to spend more money to rectify these rudimentary issues that my attorney should have handled. Save money and get a thorough attorney."
