"I was visiting a buddy of mine at 401 Oberlin and his apartment was so light and bright, with nice quartz countertops and light color floors which made his decorating super easy. If you’re looking for a newly renovated apartment, check this place out"
"We have lived at 401 Oberlin for 7 years and plan to stay at least a few more years as long as the rent stays reasonable. The management here is great and is always available to help when we need them. I love the Village District location as all of our daily needs are right around us."
"have been looking into this complex for the last few months and considering its location I thought “what a convenient living situation”. WRONG after talking to many of the residents they informed me of some disturbing details: -Amenities being closed for months after rent increases -no new accommodations made for the missing amenities -Aggressive animals not being handled by owners or to the standard of the lease -construction throughout the day -construction workers leaving the doors to the complex open resulting in SQUATTERS! -homeless people in common areas This is just what I heard this week! I’d say for almost 2k for a 1 bedroom you’d be better off anywhere else."
"Used to enjoy living here but lately it has been nothing but headaches. They recently started renovating the common spaces, closing off access to the gym. They have made us jump through various “hoops” (words they used themselves) to sign up for an alternative gym option, with many residents not even receiving the email to sign up, and many still being unable to sign up because there’s “not enough passes”. Communication has been inconsistent and extremely unprofessional. They have had these renovations planned for well over a year yet have been completely unsuccessful in the execution. 401 team - do better. Be open, upfront, and honest in your communication with your residents without making us jump through hoops to get answers, and answer your phone and emails when residents are trying to get in contact with you."
"Lived here for a couple of years. I've had a very good experience living in the apartment and the amenities, and the maintenance staff has been very responsive. On the flip side, they raised my rent by 10% each year. Some of the apartments are now renting at a price lower than what I would be paying if I'd stayed. They'll definitely price gouge you if you're too lazy to look elsewhere and move. Would not recommend for multi-year stay."
