"My husband owns his own business and because of that we very rarely get to go on vacation. Everything went well getting into the island and into the home we rented however the very next morning the golf cart broke down. Stranding 2 of us at the grocery store. We called and were told they would get it to the shop and get it fixed within the hour. We were Told it would be 1 more hr 5 different times! That was at 10am. The whole day was wasted and we only have 3 days here. We have been stuck in the house all day. On an island retreat!!! Could've done this at home for free. Ruined all the family plans we had for the day. We asked if they could switch the cart out or what they do in this situation and they said they did not have any process in place for when this kind of thing happens. Really? A Property management company that manages properties that all come with golf carts? Like a car, break downs are inevitable. And there's no protocall to swap it out or to provide a rental when it happens? If they would've been honest and told us it would take most of the day to make the repair, then we would've spent an extra $75 of our own money to rent another cart as soon as it broke down this morning. But again, we were told just one more hr many times. This has really hindered our vacation and plans. They did not offer any type of refund for the night stay or anything. Again, as stated previously, we rarely vacation. To be here for 3 days over the memorial day weekend and having to be stuck in the house for one of those days was ridiculous. It would have been nice to at least feel as if the management team was working diligently to fix our problem, or if they were understanding of the situation. If they at least had been honest and told us it would be all day, we could've rented another for $75 and not waste the whole day! I was made to feel as if we were inconveniencing them because of this. When you spend this amount of money on a vacation rental where these things are included, you expect to be able to have them resolved quickly without being made to feel you have inconvenienced them. Or waste 1/3 of your vacation stranded inside. Why not Rent, or tell the customer to rent another golf cart as soon as a breakdown occurs next time, to make sure they're stay isnt invonvienced a whole day with empty promises."
