"When we arrived (office doors were locked until 4 pm when staff arrived), there was a very sweet older gentleman who checked us in. We went up the one and only elevator in the hotel to our room, walked in, and it was confusing because you could tell the house keepers had cleaned the room but the entire building is very run down and outdated. We had to argue about getting new towels because we had to use the original ones to dry the floor from the ceiling leaking. mold in the window unit air conditioner."

"Great location! Quiet hotel, great for families and dogs! Right on the beach! Quick walk to the boardwalk! I had placed a small grocery order and a few things I realized I had forgotten to pack to be delivered from Walmart to the hotel while I was driving from PA and i times it so that it would get there shortly after our ETA and it ended up coming much sooner than I anticipated. When I realized my order had already been delivered I messaged the hotel to ask them to hold it for me and they said they had already brought it to my room and even put the refrigerated items in the refrigerator! So nice of them! Great rooms with full kitchen! We went to the beach and we’re able to run back to the room for a nice lunch and left out chairs at the beach while we ate, we could see them from the balcony. Super friendly staff! They even accommodated us for a lower floor when we requested last minute! We will definitely be returning!"

"The Blue Palmetto is a perfect beach getaway spot! The building is older but is being renovated and many upgrades have already been made. Linens and all surfaces were clean with comfortable beds and great water pressure in the shower. By far the best part of the stay was the service and hospitality! I arrived to find a complimentary bottle of wine on the kitchen counter and cold bottled water in the fridge. This will definitely be a returning location for me when I visit Myrtle Beach in the future!"

"We stayed at Blue Palmetto for about a week before we moved into our new home in MB. Is the hotel older? Yes....however, our room was clean and the view was amazing. Our air conditioner went out the first night we were there, and it was quickly replaced all together! We had no issues with bugs or dirtiness within our room at all. This is more of a long term stay place, not really the feel of a hotel. The staff was awesome and accommodating and everyone that lived/stayed there were welcoming and friendly as well. It looks like they are updating the building and rooms (saw lots of boxes in the front area). We would stay there again if the need ever came up."
