"We went to Hodges Farm for a field trip. The owners did a great job teaching the children (ages 6-12) about pollinators, farm tools, farm animals, and the life cycle of a pumpkin. They encouraged questions and made things as interactive as they could, given that no one is allowed to pet or feed the animals. The children also went for a ride behind a tractor, played on big hay bales, and got to pick out small pumpkins to take home. Note -- the farm animals here are livestock raised to produce food. The owners were very tactful in the way they discussed this with the children, while being quite honest."
"Parking is $5. Had some pumpkins in the patch. Lots of animals. Working farm within the I-485 belt loop. Tons of kids! Cute."
"This family farm is a true gem that offers something special in every season. The farm animals are charming, and the kids' play options are a hit year-round. Their pumpkin patch, especially, is fantastic, offering an authentic fall experience. It's a perfect place for families to connect with nature and enjoy quality time together. We can't wait to visit again in every season!"
"Great place to visit! They are great for field trips, very educational! They keep the kids intrigued and have a hay stack for kids to play in. They sell various item, such as honey, pumpkins of all shapes and sizes!! They show us different types of farm animals and even visitor friends, like spiders, and teach the kids how they are beneficial for the environment."
"Fun place for the family and good prices. $5 to park and then whatever you wish to purchase. There are places around the farm to do photo ops for free and then some with the animals for a charge. There is kettle corn, funnel cakes, honey and meat from the farm. There are horses, cows, pigs, donkeys, chickens, turkeys, goats, sheep and ducks to watch."
